Great Purchase Great Price

I purchased this TV to finally upgrade from a 32" tube TV that was dying. I did the research on what we would like and what we would want in a TV and went with this one. We have a wii that we like to play games on and also watch movies with. I knew the refresh rate and picture clarity were more important than the 1080p. Also a concern was that this TV is placed in front of a large sunny picture window. The old TV was as well but we do much of our TV viewing after the sun goes down. The resolve w...

You won't be disappointed!

I must say that I shopped around a ton before actually choosing this TV. I couldn't decide if I should spring the extra $200 for 1080p or not. But, I noticed that there isn't really any difference in the picture quality if you have a 42" or smaller. If I would have bought a 50" I definitely would have gotten 1080p.

I purchased this TV yesterday in-store for $499...what a steal on a Samsung! Honestly, I couldn't be any happier. Samsung's have been a leader in the TV market for years. Everytime I...

A Review for Newbies and Those on the Fence!

Last weekend, I purchased the Insignia NS-42P650A11 from BB for $449.00, and then returned it the very next day when this Samsung went on sale. Although the Insignia is essentially a less featured, re-branded Samsung, this TV is well worth the extra $50.00 that I paid for the upgrade. Whether TVs or mp3 players, I prefer Samsung products, which tend to be competitively priced and have superb quality and durability. I am replacing a 27' Samsung TV that I have had for 12 years and still works fl...

great TV, great price

Bought this TV today at Se*rs (online & store pickup)for $539. Great picture with Comcast HD. I find the speakers to be fine for regular TV viewing but I use my surround system for DVD viewing and using our HTPC with the TV.Picture is crisp and clear, lots of fine tuning available in the menus. Yes only one component input (shares with 1 of the composite inputs)but 3 HDMI, 1 component and 1 composite are plenty for me.Slight cons are power cord is a bit short and a bit of...

Quality picture

I was not sure about buying a Plasma but after getting it home I was very happy. I use it in our bedroom so there is little light so that might be why the picture is so good. This is our third Samsung TV in our house and I am very happy with the picture and sound quality of all three.

Nice

This set replaces a 50" Sony LCD projection HDTV that fell victim to the blue dots of death. It's hooked up to a Motorola HD DVR set top box through HDMI. It's been an adjustment going down to 42" from 50" but it's getting easier. The picture on HD channels is excellent and standard def channels look a lot better than they did on the Sony. The set itself is beautiful and looks great in our living room. The sound is good and there's no buzzing. The only issues that I have noticed ...

Absolutely delighted except for the stand...

Let me get this out of the way right off the bat... the stand that comes with this TV was every bit as difficult to put together as several other people have previously described about this TV. If it wasn't for Customer Service and Geek Squad, I'd still be fighting with that thing. That said, I can tell you that when the Geek Squad guy set up my TV, my wife called to say that everything was working and that she couldn't get over how good the picture looked ...on regular broadcast stations. Then s...
