It works better than expected.

Unit works. The good: in moonlight I could see like it was daylight and the reticle is sharp and adjustable for brightness. On my .223 zeroing was simple. On dark, clear nights, the ir flashlight mounted on it was good for 50-100 yards depending on the target. It can see the blinking spot designated by my laser rangefinder. The bad: Heavy. Unit has no automatic protection against bright light.

Yukon Night Scope 2.5 x 50mm

Yukon Varmit Night Vision Scope works much better than i thought it would. It was very easy to install on the rifle. It allows clear viewing out to 100 plus yards.

Just cool

I bought an adapter and mounted the scope on a Mossberg 702 which worked out to be a great package.

Good enough for its price range

Bought this model instead of its twin brother in black due to temporary stock unavailability.I use to train night/dark dusk target acquisition (fast moving pest animals) and carbine accurate shooting.Having seen through a couple of security professional models, for its price the product is good with some issues to improve to be excellent one.The product looks strong even if lightweight. Its controls are ergonomic and easy, they let you move them without clutter during see-through operation (this ...

BATTERY CAP ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN WITH FINGERS!

The battery cap is squeezed in very tightly between several other parts of the scope making it almost impossible to open the battery compartment with your fingers. If needle-nose pliers have to be resorted to (which will happen sooner or later) the cap will be damaged. In addition, the internal battery tube assembly will likely be damaged far beyond owner repair possibility = good-bye $$$. At the very least Yukon should add a screwdriver slot in the end of the battery cap for easy removal. A...

Great buy

I put this NVRS on my DPMS LR308. Took it for a spin the night I received it. The NV range without the illuminator was definitely more than expected. The IR illuminator increases the range considerably. Fits perfectly on a weaver style rail system, holds strong under continuous firing. The weight is fairly decent. You can feel the difference, but easy to adapt. Overall, a great first night vision accessory. After using this NVRS and seeing the performance, the price is perfect.

Pretty Darn Good!

As a first NVG scope this probably more than I expected for a Gen 1. The illuminated reticle works great. In half-moon I can distinguish figures up to 200m. The IR works very well for low/no light, even at distance. Only gripe is that the IR light is attached to the scope by a screw-in tube. When screwed in and tight the IR leans in toward the scope. Therefore when looking through the scope with IR on, the IR lumination is off center. I am going to jerry-rig it and put a spacer between the scope...

Works great for Gen1/Price.

Was suprised how good this, reasonaby priced, scope worked . Able to see quite clearly 100 - 150 range with 2.5 x power for my eye sight. Would be very useful, mounted on a 308, for shooting at dusk and dawn in cloud covered Washington sky. Only complaint: battery cover very difficult to remove and replace. Adorama had the lowest price and delivery was fast.

Good Quality, Low Price

I bought this scope a year ago and am very satisfied with it. It's given me the extra legal half hour of shooting time that's legal in SC but you would be blind with any other scope. I've killed some nice bucks as a result, the ones that you never see before daylight or at dusk. Not thrilled with the IR flash included but that may be that it's not adjustable. Would definitely buy it again. The sight adjustment is a little trickier than a normal siight. Usually 1 click is a quarter inch at ...

Best price for a complete package

Since there are so many nightvision products to choose from this will make it easy...this one works great. However, you MUST read the instructions and for some that may take a few days. Nothing too complex, but it is a sensitive piece of equipment and isn't as easy to work straight out of the box as a standard scope...but it IS nightvision afterall.
