Some good, some bad
It was easy to load photos onto the frame. I like the blue lighted buttons that disappear when not in use. The picture quality is great and the memory is more than sufficient for over 500 photos and music clips.Now for not so good - the photos will only play in the order uploaded, there is no random play option (only random transitions). Disappointing
As of 6/26/08, the Amazon product description states that this frame has "Easy to use on-screen menus with Alarm Clock features". It does *not* have any alarm clock features. Nor does it have any auto-power on or off features.Also to note, you can not turn the frame on or off via the remote. Nice picture, good value
This is my first digital photo frame. Did some research first, and discovered that most other frames of this size in this price range had much lower resolution (i.e., fewer pixels). At 800 x 480 pixels, photos look great. Brightness is more than adequate (I actually dropped it down a bit from factory setting). Great Picture With Lots of extra's
I will be the first to tell you I don't know much about electronics' but I did some research and this ViewSonic so far is great! When I first took it out of the box I put in a SD card turned it on and watched the pictures go. I have a Nikon Coolpix S610 and took pictures in the 16:9 and the other settings and they all came out with no black borders in the picture mode. I still haven't gone through all the features but I think by far this is a great deal for your money! Fireman Dave

This is one of a very few quality digital photo frames available that offers the convenience of a battery powered option along with 800x600 resolution. Battery powered 8" frames are even rarer. Great frame with a few minor complaints
This is the first digital photo frame that I have owned, so I don't have others to compare it to. I like the (relatively) high resolution screen of 800x600, which makes the image more detailed.
