Money well spent
I have a hand held stabilizer which is terrific because most of my work is on rocky, uneven ground. However, could only use the stabilizer for short periods due to the weight of the unit. After purchasing the DV Sportster I can go all day without having to shoot in small segments. It is terrific! It's like shooting with a feather. Very comfortable, easy to put on and take off, the stabilizer feels totaly weightless. Of all my equipment, this was the best purchase I have made. Worth every penny.

Don't say I didn't warn you
The product description says this vest is for cameras ranging from 1 to 7 pounds - wrong! Try ten to twelve pounds.According to Varizoom's instructions, the vest's spring-loaded arm, once loaded, needs to be "at horizontal level or above" to work properly. My rig (Canon t2i, 28 mm lens, Glidecam HD 1000) weighs just over 7 pounds and barely budges the vest's arm. That means the camera stays up by my head so I have to muscle the vest's arm down while trying to be steady (impossible.)...

Not worth it
If they improve on the vest, it might be okay but as it is, the vest is really uncomfortable. It's best to spend a little more and buy something with a better vest.

Great things
The entire rig works great with my glidecam and Canon 5D Mark III. It makes things so much smoother and lightweight when shooting for long periods.Per the manual, get ready to practice at least 5 hours before you are proficient. Very cool effect once you get the hang of things.

A must for lengthy use
So glad I have the vest as you really can't use a stabilizer for any length of time w/o one. This vest works pretty well, though it has limited vertical range (due to the single arm). It would be really nice to have shoulder pads as there is good deal of "pull" in that area. All that said, keep in mind this is the low-cost vest model so expectations can't be too high.
