Works perfectly, easy installation, speedy as expected.

This is the rackmount version of the more popular TEG-S24Gd switch, also offered here on Amazon. This rackmount version does include the mounting brackets/tabs for installation into a rack. It also includes a set of 4 rubber feet, which can be added for a desk/table-top installation. The on/off switch on the back is very handy, so the cord (rear-mounted) does not need to be removed in order to power the unit on/off. The indicator lights are easy to read, and provide a very easy indication of...

Gigawhat?

This review is from: TRENDnet 24-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Switch (24 x 10/100Mbps Auto-MDIX Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ports) TEG-S224 (Black Metal) (Electronics) Ok, this one is 100% on me, because the item CLEARLY states that it is a 24 port 10/100 switch and oh, by the way, it has 2 ports for Gigabit Ethernet. When I say clearly I mean clearly off to the side. Oh sure, the main product name is a 26-Port Gigabit Switch even though 24 of those ports are not Giga...

STOPPED WORKING AFTER A FEW DAYS

This review is from: TRENDnet 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit GREENnet Switch (5 x 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ethernet Ports) TEG-S5g (Black Plastic) (Personal Computers) This hub looked nice and installed quite easily, but it unexpectedly stopped working after just a few days.I rebooted it and it started working again, then stopped again two days later. I have a pretty basic setup, with just 2 computers sitting behind it.I'm returning it to Amazon...

Misleading title

This review is from: TRENDnet 24-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Switch (24 x 10/100Mbps Auto-MDIX Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ports) TEG-S224 (Black Metal) (Personal Computers) The 8 and 5 port switches are all gigabit, but the 26 port only has 2 gigabit ports, and the rest at 100mbps. This isn't very clear when you come in via the 8 or 5 port switches. I bet it is a great product otherwise but this is bunk.

Misleading Product Name

This review is from: TRENDnet 24-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Switch (24 x 10/100Mbps Auto-MDIX Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ports) TEG-S224 (Black Metal) (Electronics) 26-Port Gigabit Switch? I thought it was a great deal until I received it and found out that it's really a TWO-port Gigabit switch with 24 slower 10/100 ports! That's misleading.

Great product, but Amazon sucks

This review is from: TRENDnet 5-Port Unmanaged Gigabit GREENnet Switch (5 x 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ethernet Ports) TEG-S50g (Black Metal) (Personal Computers) I bought three of these for $35 each, within a few days Amazon decided to drop the price significantly. I asked for roughly $30 in credit back from Amazon, because it wouldn't make sense for me to send back the items, then buy again at a lower price. This would just cost myself & Amazon more mo...

Compact and very sturdy

This review is from: TRENDnet 8-Port Unmanaged Gigabit GREENnet Desktop Switch (8 x 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ethernet Ports) TEG-S80DG (Black Metal) (Personal Computers) This is essentially the same model as the TEG-S80G, except it has an internal power supply. One less wall- wart was easily worth the small price premium for me, especially since the metal device looks and feels like it will last until gigabit ethernet becomes obsolete. The five- year w...

Works they way it's meant to.

This review is from: TRENDnet 24-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Switch (24 x 10/100Mbps Auto-MDIX Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ports) TEG-S224 (Black Metal) (Electronics) Working flawlessly with 14 clients connected to a single server, the bottleneck was killing the network performance.Be careful when buying this switch, IS NOT A 26 PORT GIGABIT SWITCH, only 2 ports are gigabit.

Works well

What's great about it: I was able to move my router to a new location using existing single CAT 6 cable connecting it all. What's not so great: nothing so far. I've had it several months before writing this review great. was able to expand my existing LAN easily. If you want to have full performance of this product use CAT 6 cables. replace your old CAT 5e. will work with both.

Decent switch that only lasts a couple months.

I bought 14 of these for a small business network. They worked fantastic, until they all started slowly dying. I took a video of one of them failing. http://youtu.be/mCJtjHCXON8Recommend spending a little more for something better.
