Great for the Price

I use this camera to monitor my home when I am away. I have seven other cameras including 2 older units from Trendnet. This new Trendnet camera is the best for the money. The images are high resolution and clear and the PoE makes for an easy connection to my network. I use a static IP address for my home and port-forwarding in my router for accessing my equipmemnt. I have 3 iViewHD cameras from NetMedia which are sometimes difficult to access and require a hard reset (which can not be done remo...

Very Nice PoE Camera

There are two doors we needed to have better visual on as the receptionists who could buzz in our visitors were both over 30 feet away. Not having to worry about a nearby power source, I was able to place this exactly where it viewed the door best (about nine feet away) using PoE from a PoE switch. Resolution was great, Frames per second was too high, very choppy as the information couldn't be sent that quickly over our gigabit network. Reduced the quality down to 640x400 @ H.264 @ 15 FPS and it...

Excellent image, night vision, easy to use

I have 8 of these cameras securing my property. All are recording all the time with battery backup and cell network uploading. Some are in outdoor housings. Top quality image recording. Reliable.

Good picture hard to setup.

Good picture. Very difficult to set up if you want to view the camera from outside the wifi network. The instructions are terrible!

Pretty good image quality during the day

I have to say I got this for 99.00 on a lightning deal. I have to say the setup was quite good, it connected to my wifi connection with no problem. Image quality is very good during the day, I have it facing outside thru a window so I cannot turn on the night IR LED's since they will reflect off the window, so with the limited porch light night quality is pretty poor, it would actually start hunting trying to find some night level.I found in the camera settings if you slow the shutte...

Good Internet camera to monitor things indoors.

This is a excellent upgrade over the 0.3MP cameras that Trendnet made. All the snapshots are a good size that you can see enough detail (faces/etc.) The video capture is excellent and was not available on previous versions.I thought the setup was relatively easy, but if you want to set it up to view on your smart phone or computer off your local network you will need to know a little about static IP addresses and port forwarding. You will also need to configure your router. If yo...

Great Product thus far. Works with Tuxedo Touch home security system

I tried the WPS and my camera was found instantly. Once focused (manually turning the lens) the video quality was fantastic. To no surprise, it seemed the quality was a little better on a wired connection, but it's certainly still usable in wireless mode. I played with some of the settings, but didn't get into all of the features yet. I did manage to successfully connect it to my TRENDnet TV-IP572P Megapixel PoE Internet Camera review by R. Good camera for the price

I picked up 2 of these, one for the front and one for the rear of my house. PoE was key since I had no power nearby. PoE works GREAT once you supply enough power to the cameras. I did not have luck using the AIR802 POEPASS-01 Passive PoE Injector/Splitter with 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm DC Size Connector connectors running directly off my...

Lackluster Image Quality

For a camera costing $120+, I expected more. The day image quality was good, but night time is where the camera really disappointed. With the IP camera market saturated with good quality cameras packing more features than the Trendnet for the sub $100 market, I would recommend keep looking. The only redeemable feature of this camera to justify the price to some is the ability to use Power over Ethernet. I ended up returning this camera (thank you Amazon!).I would also like to note th...

OK in bright light only.

I just picked up a couple of these from Amazon's lightning deal for about a C note each. The image is OK in bright light. Out of the box, the contrast was too high and there was no detail in darker areas of the image. I dropped the contrast setting from 55 to 40 and it helped, but the lighter areas now look a bit washed out. This camera has pretty low dynamic range. As the sun sets and the light level in the room starts to drop- not dark, just a little less bright than full sunlight, the im...
