Amazing power and clarity

Mated to a tripod, these binoculars will change your relationship to your landscape.I use the 20x80 Steiner for long-distance observation. Under proper seeing conditions, I can pick out rough details of a lighthouse I know to be more than 100 miles from my regular viewing location. I am able to read ship names from 15-20 miles away. The amount of light these binoculars gather during twilight and moonlit nights is amazing. Image quality is remarkable. The depth of field provided by sport foc...

Absolutely awesome

I have used many binos in the past that at full zoom, the lenses point at slightly different spots giving you a headache. I used these Steiners for surveillance and was able to positively ID a boat at 3 miles! I highly recommend these in low light situations and even in rain! I would have paid twice as much if I knew they were this good!- (14 year insurance fraud investigator)

Tack-sharp, well constructed, a pleasure to use - better than scopes of comparable power

Steiner 20x80 binoculars are amazing. I have only borrowed a pair from time to time, but having used them for a variety of tasks from birdwatching to target shooting, I can vouch for their claimed optical and handling qualities. They are tack-sharp, well constructed and a pleasure to use.I own five pairs of binoculars - my two favourites of which, Steiner Wildlife P...

High quality precision

I have wanted one of these ever since I found out they exist. The reason for the 4 star rating is because they are designed as if they were 2 separate 20X80 tubes joined together to represent binoculars. Each one operates independently of the other. They both have to be refocused individually each time you change distances. They don't operate together as other binoculars do. Usually after you focus each side there is a wheel that keeps both sides aligned for distance changes but these don't have...
