great sound with horrible connection

I will start this review by saying I love sony products especially the 1000x line of products which is the reason I was excited for this one to come to the US. Unfortunately I was let down in the most bitter way I could imagine. The sound on these headphones is actually pretty great. It has nice clear audio that I have come to expect from sony however; the problems arise pretty quickly once you start using them outside. Within the first few minutes of taking them out they would start skippin...

Solid pair of buds

The only other wireless buds I have ever used are the Bose QC30 with the neckband, so that is my point of reference. While I loved the Bose, I didn't want the collar, but I wanted noise cancellation. So far, these have been pretty good. Good, balanced sound. Bass is noticeable, though I wish it was a little more present. Everything is nice and clear. I haven't played with these enough to put the Adaptive Noise Canceling to the test, but in the Active setting, they do a great job of keeping thing...

A lot to like, and not like

I have over the ear noise cancelling headphones and I have in ear headphones which are not noise cancelling. So I thought these Sony WF1000x would be the perfect combination of the best features of my other headphones. Noise cancelling without the bulk of over the ear headphones. Let's start with the good: I have never been into unboxing, but Sony has done a great job of packaging this product and it makes a great presentation when you open it. These headphones have the look and feel of a qualit...

Unusable for Videos.

They sound great but there is a 0.5 to 1 second audio lag when watching videos. Mp4, youtube, netflix, etc. I used these with 3 different devices and audio is out of sync when watching videos for all of them. This is not acceptable for $200 headphones in my opinion.

The Best-Sounding Truly Wireless Earbuds?

I am an audiophile, but more specifically, a headphone fanatic. I own far too many pairs of headphones to count—each with its own purpose. I own headphones as cheap as those that come with your flagship smartphone— all the way to high-end headphones that cost $1k. Whether it's bluetooth or wired, I'm out to find the best and only recommend the best to consumers like you. UNBOXING: The packaging for the WF-1000X is small, which is to be expected, as they're earbuds. Inside the box is the pair...

Big sound in small packages

Geared for commuters and users in noisy environments. Not for active and gym use. Pros: *Noise canceling in an earbud style *Small and totally wireless *Charging case (both pro and a con, more on this later) *Numerous wing tips and earbuds for better fitment *Good bass Cons: *No volume control on the earbuds *Not secure enough in the ear to go to the gym with it *May not be loud enough for some listeners *Sound sometimes cuts in and out between the buds (more on this below) *Very...

Maximum volume is a joke

I don't think is fair for people that might be considering in getting these, not to know the truth about the maximum volume level on these earbuds. The max volume level is about 35% of what you can get with any other earbuds, wired or wireless. This is a shame and unacceptable Yes you read correct, when you crank the volume all the way up, these earbuds leave you guessing about the music that is playing, you basically do no enjoy listening to whatever you're listening to which beats the purp...
