I am extremely disappointed

The title states my opinion, the 'Cons' states why. Wireless USB technology is by far and away too common-place for Sony to have done anything other than purposefully design it to be an inconvenience and line their pockets. I refuse to purchase anything that I can only use for 1 product or product line and as a result, the -S270 Blueray player will be being returned as well as I wont be purchasing from Sony again.

Terrible range

I've had this adapter plugged into my KDL-EX711 for a year and a half. Worked great out of the box for about 3 months. Gradually over time, the signal from my router would get weaker. Replaced the router, and made no difference. Replaced router again 6 months later hoping this would help, but no difference. New router has incredible range.. I can walk 100ft down the street and still connect with my tablet. No luck with the tv. This adapter is a waste of time and money. I've noticed the other rev...

Great product at a great price

I bought the bdp-s370 for use in the family room and was so impressed that I purchased a second one for the master bedroom. If you have a newer Sony television you can take advantage of the sync feature: When you turn on the blu-ray player, it turns on the tv and tunes it to the correct input for the blu-ray.

The best entry-level Blu Ray player yet!

I waited until 2010 to make the jump to blu-ray and outside of picture quality I had four criteria for any player: 1) fast operation, 2) Netflix support, 3) a friendly user interface, and 4) support for a/v from the USB or other ports. I wound up purchasing both the Sony BDP-S370 and the Panasonic DMP-B65 and will compare both in this review.Let's get picture quality out of the way because videophiles want to know which player has the edge. If you were judging based on screenshots, the Panasonic...

Depends on your plans

If you want to use this just as a blu-ray player, the picture is hard to beat. However, I wanted to use it to connect to the internet and watch Netflix as well as blu-ray discs. Being the typical Sony product, it is only compatible with sony accessories. You have to spend $80 on the sony wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet. So if that is your plan, add $80 to the price tag and compare this unit to others that have wi-fi built in. Wants you connect the sony USB adapter, it does work f...

overall good product

Overall, I am very happy with this product. It is easy to use and serves its purpose well. However, my mistake was not reading the fine print in the item description--I took "WiFi Ready" for face value. This unit requires a wireless adaptor sold separately from Sony for $79.95 in order to actually work wirelessly. We opted to hardwire the internet for much less cost and we are pleased with its performance. What's great about it: Easy to use, great for instant movies What's not so gre...

Another solid, basic player from Sony

I already own a Sony BDPS-360 downstairs as our main Blu-Ray player, but wanted a streaming player for upstairs (an Xbox360 takes care of that downstairs). Since I won't have a 3D TV for quite some time, and have wired ethernet running to the appropriate room, the 470/570 offer me nothing over this player, so I bought the 370.Blu-Rays are very quick to load. Checked out Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl, and the biggest delay in getting to the movie was skipping the previews up ...

Great player that works without hassle

I'll start with the bottom line about this player-it just works! If you're looking for a nice, fully functional Blu Ray player that's going to just WORK as you'd expect it to, on anything you throw at it, this is a nice, safe buy. You'll have no problems upgrading from a normal DVD player to it.Like a lot of people, my first Blu Ray player was my Playstation 3, which I bought last year. If you don't already have a PS3, that's worth considering instead of a stand alone player, because it doesn't ...

Great Experience

I have read the reviews and cannot agree with them. Perhaps the newest firmware version updated a lot of items people complained about. I can watch Netflix without having to Queue. I can search for items as needed and add them to my Queue if I like. I have had a great experience with my player thus far. I am very pleased.
