Performs as advertised
The HDHomerun performed well on my network, delivering unencrypted cable QAM signal which was streamed over my network to all my wireless laptops and desktops. Using a free download (InstaTV Lite), I was also able to stream video to my iphone, although you’ll only be able to view a postage size image. If you find one of these older models, get it!
I have been using this for over 2 years now. It never made a mistake, and this model has 2 tuners, with 2 F connectors on it. So you can use one tuner for qam, the other for ota. Great product. Helped me avoid pay TV all these years
Have had for many years. When used with the right antennaes, these over the air tuners work great to provide a TV signal to all my media center computers connected to my TV's. Also works with laptops. Wish I could get it working with my tablets as well. Great resource that allows me to place antennae's in optimum place and only run power and ethernet/network to them. going strong for 18 months
absolutely no issues. restarted it only once in 18 months (and that could have very well been a different issue but rebooting this seemed an easy workaround) [Read sameer's Complete Review for Silicon Dust HDHR-US HDHomeRun Networked Digital HDTV Tuner at Amazon.Com ]

My guess is the built in splitter would be of a higher quality than the crappy splitters I find in the stores these days.
