Unreliable piece of equipment

I already sent this into be fixed once because it would constantly freeze up and I had to pull the batteries (and take it off the shoe) to get it to reset. Now it zooms and retracts over and over (unnecessarily) till the motor gets stuck (it doesn't seem to be able to adjust to 105mm position) about 25% of the time I try to use it. What is

Poor product, under exposure

Basically the flash come with the camera is stronger than this unit. Every photo i took are underexposed. I received the unit today and returned it back today. Don't waste your time for this unit.

Does what it is designed for - I like it
 
This review is from: Sigma EF-530 DG ST Electronic Flash for Nikon DSLR (Electronics) I just picked up one for 108 before the latest price drop - and now I may get another for a backup.Yes, it is a very basic flash .... no pc sync port - no optical slave. However, for candid and event photography that you plan on leaving the flash on camera it works great for the cost. I use it with a Nikon D200 and so far so good. Why pay all the extra $ for a Nikon SB600 - SB900 if you do not
