Flimsy connector

I'm unfortunately going to buy a replacement pair - the plug connector has flimsily cabling and after some wear has caused one of the sides to be intermittent. At [$], I know several decent earphones that come with music control. I guess shure is pricing it relative to the cost of the earphones and not the actual cost of the device. ShameOn the plus side, it works well and the buttons respond well on an iPhone 4.Since I love the earphones Shure makes, I am willing to overlook the flaws as this d...

Shure Music Phone Accessory Cable w mic

1). 3.5 connector fits directly into IPhone4S with Griffin Survivor case.2). Cable with integrated mic does NOT include malleable section at ear to maintain its position.3). Cables from ear to yoke seem less durable than standard cables.4). Volume switch on right ear cable.

control your ipod

bought as replacement / update for the cables provided with the Shures SE215 In-Ear Headphones. Classic up/down volume control and center button for start/stop/pause. works very well and lets you keep your ipod out of sight when in use. Additionally while the controls don't work with my HTC smartphone the Mic works so you can use it for hands free althought the buttons do not do anything.

best of the entry level In-Ear Headphone

I was looking for another set of ear-buds or in-ears for use while traveling with my Ipod. The Shure SE215's are what I consider the entry level to high end in-ear headphones. They are the least expensive of Shure's line that have most of the high end features, such as cord replacement. The sound is significantly better than the basic earbuds provided with an Ipod. Additionally the price point is where most if not all people are willing to buy them and they are not in the astronomic price range ...

A must for iPhone users

This accessory for Shure SE535/425 earphones is a must for those who use the earphones with either iPod or iPhone. It provides a perfect control over iPod music playback function, along with an awesome hands free microphone for calling and answering phone calls. The only minor drawback for this product is that the cable itself came as winded and needs to be straightened everytime I pull it out from the earphone case. The product might seem a little pricy but apparently this is the only way to fu...

Return twice to many

I bought these headphones which worked well, loved the sound but after 2 months it developed a short in the cord.I returned them and they promptly sent me another pair .Then within 2 to 3 months they did the same thing. I didn't bother sending them back I assume it was a defect in the model. I now have a regular pair of earphones With no phone accessory by Shure and they work fine.

3rd set that's broken at headphone jack (update- number 4!!!!)

As other reviewers have pointed out- these kind of suck. This most recent pair will make the third set I've purchased because they keep failing at the L shaped bend where the jack is located at the end of the cable. They are not worth the money until Shure either cuts the price in half or makes then even remotely as nice as the standard cables that shipped with my 425's. Unfortunately they're the only game in town, which is why I find myself repeatedly buying a new pair when they break. Disa...

When will Shure get cable right?

Like the others here I am disappointed by the flimsy thin cable. I purchased these to go with the just purchased SE315 and they are perhaps my 4th or 5th pair of Shure earbuds. Great buds, excellent fit but the cables have failed on every pair. And now arrives these rather expensive extremely thin gauge cables. Come on Shure...all that great sound engineering for naught when you can't get the cables right.

Quality feels cheaper than stock... but not Horrible

Does exactly what it says! Fits the SE215 model of IEM as well! Works well with the iphone... even has a slim connector that lets it fit into the bumper case for the iPhone 4 or the original edge. Good product, I appreciate that they make such an accessory and allow you to choose the IEM to go with it (or vise versa). The ends that snap into the buds are also molded in a way that allows you to still go over the ear, though the wire can easily come off of from over your ear since there isn't ...

garbage for what your target consumer is

shure needs to be ashamed of these, the build quailty resembles the same build quality of what they are supposed to replace. the detachable line was built to address frayed wires yet how do you buy a 500$ pair of shure 535's that have plastic ear molding and kevlar wiring and yet have to buy these piss poor wires for mobile use?for what you charge, it should have been the equal of the wiring you get with the 535's with the addition of the mobile control pod
