No Musician Should Be Without!

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) As a musician, I bought a BOSS BR-8 Digital Recorder to make song demos in my living room. I needed something to mix down to, and couldn't afford a DAT deck, as they run $$$ and up. I grudgingly tried the Sharp, and guess what? It's been awesome! My mixes go straight to minidisc via an inexpensive optical cable. No loss of quality at all. I also record live shows and rehearsals using an old AIWA ste...

Excellent MiniDisc Recorder

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) I bought a Sharp MDSR60S from here on Amazon, and I couldn't be happier. I spent a lot of time reading reviews of all the various units on the international MiniDisc website, and I finally read enough negative things about the Sonys (along with lots of positive things) that I decided to go with this less expensive Sharp.I wanted a MiniDisc mostly for recording myself live, and the Sharp fits the bil...

Best Deal For The Money

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) I have had this MiniDisc Player/Recorder for about 6months now, bought from Amazon during Christmas. I have to say if you are looking for an inexpensive portable audio player this is the best choice out there. MiniDisc offers CD quality sound that is rerecordable over and over on a $3 MD that can run up to 80min.For under $200, you get 10sec shock protection, a cheap feeling remote control with no ...

TIGHT...

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) I would definitely recommend this product or any mini disc player over an Mp3 player. I m still in middle school where it is against the rules to take anykind of electronics to school, but since this mini disc player is so small, it is very easy to hide from teachers and the like. i have not been caught in 5 months due to the small design. however, even though it is small, this player still has a lot of...

More Advanced Than CD!!!

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) I am extremely impressed with my Sharp MD player/recorder. In my opinion, the sound quality is better than CD. The best feature, however, is the ability to edit any recorded tracks. Any track can be erased, divided, combined, labeled, or clipped. The tracks can be recorded to the MD in any order and then re-arranged at your whim. Tracks do not have be recorded in only one session. Tracks can be re...

Good product

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) The Sharp's MDSR60S Portable Minidisc Player/Recorder is definately a good buy. Unfortunately the battery lasts like 3 minutes (sarcasm) when you start turning it on and off, Turning it on, off, or randomly switching tracks takes ALOT of power. Despite the fact that it has terrible battery life this is definetaly a good buy,it has a user friendly setup and naming the tracks is simple. I would say that t...

minidisc players ar the best

This review is from: Sharp MDSR60S Minidisc Player/Recorder (Electronics) i don't own this md player but i have an older sharp md15. In general, minidisc players are the best portable gadget i've ever owned. Perfect sound quality, convenience and compact too. ANd talk about cheap - 74 minutes of music (a blank disc) costs about a dollar (bought in packs of 20). Forget about the MP3 players where you have to buy expensive memory to get anything more than 2 hours of music. ...
