Had to Return

This Drive is said to work in Synology DS1512+. However, Seagate recently changed the firmware, which now causes intermittent failures when used with Synology. Go with another drive if your're using a NAS.

Working Great in a RAID 5 Synology DS411

I've had no issues, and the drives perform well. Can't complain a bit! I got these because of the RAID 5. RAID 5 and 6, you will want enterprise class drives.

Works great in Synology 1512+

This is 5th drive in my NAS (other are HP branded Constellations). I noticed that this model runs 3-5 degrees cooler than the other drives. HP drives might be previous gen, that would explain the difference. They all work as they should, no problems with them so far.

Great price for a 3TB enterprise drive

I'm guessing mechanical drives are on the way out and that is great for the prices coming down on a 3TB enterprise class drive. I'll take that anyway. The drive is working great, though I just recently installed it, but being an enterprise drive I have every belief it will be around long enough to do its job. I recommend it.

Seagate 3TB 3.5" Doing Fine

This drive holds all the photographs of a professional photographer for calendar year 2012. It's in an 8-bay enclosure, used all day every day and has no issues.
