I bought this hard drive during Christmas season 2012 and I have to say it has been running great for 5 months straight. I used this hdd for my gaming rig as well

drive failed within 2-years, now have to try to get warranty replacement
 
And this is without any kind of heavy usage in my QNAP NAS. very disappointing. I strayed from WD cause i was told Seagate was the new top dog... i have my doubts about that now.

I used to use WD all the time (well the majority), and after I had a flurry of WD failures, I decided to give Seagate a run. Been very happy with the performance, heat dissipation and longevity. Highly recommend.
