Suited the purpose!

We bought this as a mirror for the drive that was already in place, so we set up a RAID1 mirror. As with all the drives of this particular model, it had to be flashed upgraded to be stable. But we had anticipated this.

OK drive - failed after 2 years

I used the 1.5TB version of this drive in my home NAS for about 2 years. It worked great and then the drive died. The 3 year warranty covered a replacement, and the Seagate warranty process is painless. Overall, I'm glad the drive lasted a little over 2 years and died BEFORE the warranty ended.
