Just shy of the perfect Netbook

I really wanted to give this netbook a perfect score but it just misses the mark by a hair. I'll explain. Prior to owning the Samsung, I had an Acer Aspire One which I what I'm using to compare to the Samsung. I returned it because the screen was too small for me (8.9 in), the battery life was terrible (less than 2 hrs), and the keyboard was just too small! The Samsung addressed all these issues and I felt it was going to be the perfect answer for me. It is perfect except as noted below. Th...

Wonderful But Has A FLAW! A BIG One...

Returned my beloved Aspire One to Amazon for several of the well documented problems it is know for. Amazon was amazing as always and gave me NO hassle, NONE! Nobody else gives you this protection, especially in electronics. So I bought this Samsung someplace else (eggs ring a bell?)and for more money as Amazon sold out that day. It was love at first week and second week then I noticed something. In the lower left of this beautiful NON glare screen I see two "eyes" looking at me while re...

A Lesson Learned

I have seen so many Samsung NC10 rave reviews splattered across the internet that I began to feel hopelessly inadequate owning an ASUS Eee 1000HA instead of a wonderful NC10. Being able to stand it no more, I ordered the NC10, justifying my purchase with the fact that I could sell the 1000HA for a good fraction of what I paid for it.The fateful day arrived, and I unpacked the NC10 with great anticipation. My first impressions were mixed. The machine felt a little flimsy, but on th...

The Honda Civic of laptops

Like a Civic, this netbook is small, "fuel" efficient, performs your typical tasks well, and is good enough looking not to be ugly.

Great traveling companion!

The NC-10 is really a great netbook computer. I've owned several Samsung products and have found them to be exemplary in all respects. This includes cell phones, HD televisions and laptops. You really need to look at the Samsung products if you are thinking about purchasing electronics today. In past years I don't think I could have said that, but I surely can now. Everyone should be aware that the netbooks are kind of an "all the same" model type of computer. Much of this is dr...

When my 3 month old HP Mini 1035NR bit the dust back in February of this year, I opted to change directions and buy the Samsung NC10. It is a decision that has paid off big. With its smooth lines, rounded corners and a midnight blue casing, the Samsung NC10 brings it on with all the basics and more.Functionality, usable keyboard, fast speeds, and a six hour battery that has repeatedly gone over seven hours, are only a few of this unit's features. The flat screen speaks volumes in display and col...

Quality Product

This little computer is far better than what I expected. It's not underpowered like other netbooks - it's fast, it's boots up quick, and is easy to use. I bought it for its portablility, and am very pleased with it. The battery life is GREAT, too. Just remember that this is a smaller display, and if you have a blog page you may have to tweak the settings for it to look right. If you like to add programs that you can't download from a website, consider buying an external DVD drive. Also, be aware...

Great product! Very happy with my purchase!

DISCLAIMER--This is the only "netbook" I have owned so my review cannot be compared to other similar priced notebooks. EASE OF USE--It's a computer running Windows XP, about as easy to use as any other computer running Windows XP. PERFORMANCE--After reading reviews online I was scared that it might run slow or be very choppy. If you are using this computer only for school/word processing/power point/light gaming or older games, YOU WILL BE FINE. I have itunes, firefox, powerpoint and...

Wireless connection is ridiculous

I hate giving this computer such a poor review. It's cute. It's cheap. The keyboard is even pretty comfortable. However, considering that it is a netbook and the wireless does NOT work... it's pointless.I've installed every new release of the atheros driver from Samsung and the problem will not go away. I can't be online for more than a few minutes (most of the time less than that!) without it dropping the wireless connection. It's incredibly frustrating and takes any enjoyment out o...

So Far So Good

I've been researching Netbooks for sometime. However, I have not compared many in person. I bought this based on the specs, size and price and have not been disappointed. However, I'm dieing for one similar size and price to be a tablet notebook where you change change the screen orientation. This screen is short and wide - making reading nytimes.com a more scroll-ful experience than usual. However, if you could tilt and read more like a book - this would be a homerun. Other than that, its...
