Good portable throw-down computer for 95% of use

All of the netbooks in this class are going to have the same specs, like 10.1 screen, 3USB ports, Intel Atom single-core processor, etc. Currently, the competing netbooks have 250GB HD (very usable) with 1GB included RAM (usable) upgradable to 2GB max (a little more usable). The difference in the packaging. The Samsung is the only one with a matte (non-glossy) screen, which is a clear advantage. The glossy screens seem like junk designed to capture uneducated consumers' eye on the store floor, b...

Handy alternative to lugging around a 5 -6# Laptop

Got this a week ago, good speed w/ internet. Upgraded ram to 2GB and was very easy to do. Battery life is excellent. I use this on presentations every day and I get lots of compliments from my clients.

Remember netbooks don't have DVD or CD drives. Picks up wireless networks flawlessly, I use an aircard when away from hotspots.

A great alternative to a tablet

I was looking at a tablet, but wanted a keyboard and a SD-card slot. I could get that with a $499 tablet, and an additional $150 for the keyboard attachment. I decided to go for this netbook instead. It has as good a processor, I upgraded to 2 GB of RAM, and it has a 250-GB hard drive. Not to mention three USB ports, a VGA port, and great battery life. It also runs Windows 7, so no need to learn another operating system. Even after paying for the extra RAM, this is still half the cost of a table...

This little worker keeps on workin'

My laptop died during finals week, and I was out of town, so I went to BB, and I asked what they had in stock and ready to go that was economic...the N145 is what they had. So I took it. And I've loved it so much that I haven't fixed my broken laptop yet! It's been months.

And I've loved it so much that I haven't fixed my broken laptop yet! It's been months. It has handled all my grad school research and papers, my photo uploads, the videos I've put together, and endless hours of use. The battery lasts and lasts, even if I watch a movie. I like small screens and lightweight compu...

Powerful for its Size

I bought the Samsung N145 Netbook to take on a long trip when I needed a small laptop to connect to the internet, but with low weight and still able to run Microsoft Office 2010 fine. I looked at many in the $250 price range. At that price the offerings have pretty much the same specs and equipment, and that the differences are in other small touches. I wanted the matte finish of the Samsung screen, an improvement over the Toshiba screen. This IS a MUCH better value than a Dell in the same class...
