Only true all-Digital HDMI 1.4 AVR on market

Those who are not familiar with all-digital AVRs are in for a surprise at the clarity of sound quality possible with the design. Search online to read about 'Class D' amps for more. Essentially, the amlifier has a direct pipeline from the DSP. With a digital input such as HDMI, this means that the only analog stage is the output to speakers. The result is a stunning openness on high-end and mid-range, and crisp accuracy on the low-end.

Good sound, could be more user friendly

I have this set up with 10 year old Infinity speakers. The sound is great. The set up was a bit of a pain as you have to navigate through a complicated menu to get some of the settings right. It also came with one HDMI port not working. I will be returning it, but will get the same model.

Not amoung the the front runners

I took the receiver back after five days. I purchased it because I wanted the anynet+ feature to go with my new Samsung 65 in. LED 3d TV and blu-ray player, so that I did not need five remotes. The HW-C900 also stated that it had onscreen setup but failed to state that the on screen was the one by five inch display on the front of the unit. The ability to balance and modify the sound was minimal and the preset and auto set sound was simply poor when I was accustomed to a Sony ES system driving v...

Absolutely Horrible!

The audio set up is not anywhere as intuitive as most receivers go but the big problem is signal loss. It randomly will drop A/V from an HDMI input even when the content has not changed (SD to HD, etc..) All of my cables are 1.4 certified and work absolutely fine when directly connected to my TV. It appears that it is an HDCP issue but I can't narrow it down. Samsung provides no support for it other than the manual. It is nice looking but I'd rather spend an extra $100 on an Onkyo or ...
