great for the money
We got this blu-ray last night after having to return a Sony blu-ray player that had a flickering problem. I am very pleased with it. The picture quality is great and has a couple of apps that are very user friendly. We paid less then $90 so we didn't expect a lot of bells and whistles. There is a network port for internet access to use your apps. It doesn't have wireless connectivity but that wasn't a problem for me because our router is kept hidden behind the t.v. cabinet.

Great Basic Blu Ray player
I just wanted a cheap blu ray player for my spare room to hook up to my 27" LED monitor, and this fit the bill. I didn't need to be able to download extra apps. This comes with YouTube, Netflix, and two other movie services I never heard of. Searching YouTube on this player is kind of clunky, but I don't anticipate watching too much YouTube on this. Everything you'd expect from Samsung
Has 4 internet apps... netflix, youtube, vudu, and cinemanow. No internet browser. Other than that it's just your average blu-ray player. Good quality and simple to use.

Exactly What I was Looking for at a Great Price
I'm new to HDTV. I wanted something that worked with my new HDTV and was simple to use. I tried some of my favorite SD DVDs and as other reveiwers have noted, the picture quality was "perfect", no artifacts, just bigger and seemingly clearer.

Good Value for the Price
I finally upgraded from a DVD player to Blue Ray...This is a pretty good product. It comes with a remote/batteries and typical AVI. If you want to connect to the Internet with a wire then you need to have an ethernet..Does not have internal wi-fi..if you want a wireless connection then you will need a separate wifi connecter. If you want a better picture, you will need to have a HDMI cable.

You get what you pay for
I saw this BD-5100 for a great price and it came with streaming options such as Netflix, etc. I wanted it for Netflix and of course, BD (I had a BD player, but wanted one with Netflix). Hooks up easy, setup was ok. But when it came to playing Netflix, it kept \"buffering\". And I mean buffering a heck of a lot. Useless for Netflix. very few internet options
Those four apps listed on the samsung box are the only apps you get. In older editions of this model, you could download new apps, but not in this one. And the youtube app is AWFUL. I returned it an paid an extra $10 for the Sony blu-ray player which has all the apps you could want and more.

Good player but misleading if you want wifi
I received this product as a gift and thought for sure that it would have wifi with the box showing several different Internet applications. It wasn't until I read the user manuel several times that I found a small note stating that the device could only be used with a wired connection.\n\nI feel that this player is a good one with many features that are desirable, including hdmi.
