Good cheap solution for cable
The box works great with Comcast, and has a bunch of extra apps and widgets, plus Samsungs version of Pay per view. The guide looks nice and is very basic with a description, time left in program bar, and no ads. It doesn't show if the program is new or a repeat. The box can forget the guide for a bit after being off a long time but seems to come back after a few minutes of loading or a power cycle. Works just fine on my cable system
Charter Cable is going completely digital. You will soon need a Cable Box for every TV to receive anything. Their cable boxes are $7.00 per month each. Finally a Cable Box I don't Rent
Samsung Cable Box, easy to use, 1080 resolution is excellent and I don't have to pay rent every month, WHOA!!A little tricky getting the match up from the Cable company, Brighthouse Networks. Ended up getting a tuning adapter as well as a Cablecard. The only problem is I typically lose channels and have to reboot the tuning adapter. I have heard of others with the same problem. I couldn't receive all of my paid TWC channels
Easy to setup and activate via TWC. The problem was that I could not receive all of the channel packages I subscribed for.

Substitute for Cable Box
The picture produced is very clear. Comcast had some difficulty programing the card. You have to get someone who knows what they are doing but once that was done I am very pleased with the result. It does what some of the competitive products does but its acceptance of the cable card gives this product an advantage.(hide full review)

I purchased this unit to use with Frontier FIOS and have not been able to get the resolution of the HD channels to display at the higher resolution. All channels show 480i and it's cropped on our HD TV but only for this unit. So far all parties have their fingers pointing at each other. Great but some limitations
I purchased this as a replacement for a cable box. It does take the smart card with no issues, but Verizon has a problem getting the card processed. Spent an hour the first time then added HBO a few days later and spent almost another hour. Seems they have to individually process the card. Everything else works fine but the guide. You can't color code the stations but the biggest pain is that you can't jump to any channel while in the guide. That means that if you want to go from channel 4...

Great cable box replacement
I got this to replace my HD cable box from Time Warner Cable. I am now using a cable card instead of their box. I can not believe the difference. The picture is amazing. Also, the box is very small so it fits well on my shelf.I definitely would recommend this product. Only con for this is that the cables do not come with the product and need to be purchase separately.

Love The Box
I really love this box I have time warner cable it cost $2.00 a month to rent a cable card and the tuner adapter is free. No problem getting every thing setup time warner has the cable card thing worked out very well. I get a beautiful picture and I wired the internet using an Ethernet cord connection because I had problems with the wifi staying connected. Poor APP performance and VERY slow interfaces.
This device is a great idea, but all of my apps run at a 486x snails pace. The box in general is slow and often unresponsive, requiring many power cycles or smart hub resets. Buy cheap, get cheap I guess.... Also, the APP selection is horrible. No HULU Plus , no Amazon Music, ...etc.
