blueray player works well and has a great picture. the internet connectivity and apps are virtually useless. Netflix streaming is horrible and vudu won't even load due to the system being so slow. Netflix stutters and loses sync constantly. On my xbox it works perfectly.

Netflix issues [updates below]I bought this primarily to stream Netflix, so that's what most of this review is about. I've previously used my Xbox360 to stream but since I don't really play online games spending money for a yearly gold membership seemed like a waste. However, now that I've experienced the Netflix app on the player I'm thinking the extra money on a 12 month membership may be well worth it.The user interface is less than desirable, but it gets the job done. Firmware flop

Cannot play recently released BluRay discs. Format not compatible. This is a brand new 2011 machine and has only been able to play older Blurays. What's the point. I have updated twice the firmware twice since purchase two and half weeks ago. Machine is useless, i am afraid to rent a Bluray from the video store as I believe it will not play when I get it home. My kids were even more disappointed. Firmware Flop!

Bought this player so I could hook it up to my internet and stream Netflix. The blue ray works great and even updates the software automatically, all you have to do is click yes to update. The only complaint I have is that nowhere could I find that you had to have the Samsung wireless adapter to connect wirelessly. I had a USB wireless adapter laying around but the player asked me to insert the Samsung adapter and never gave me the option to use the one I had. Small complaint but I did have to r...

I tried this unit for about a week. I primarily used it to stream Netflix. There's a problem with that, though: the longer a program streamed, the more buffer space it used up; as buffer disappeared the remote gradually became unusable. Also, if you watch a movie and exit when the credits are still rolling, then launch another movie, buffer space isn't deallocated, so video is notchy or frozen, and audio garbles. The only way to avoid it was to either play a program until it ended and termi...

Not Wi-fi Ready

Although the box states Wi-Fi ready - it is NOT and this unit requires an additional purchase to make it wi-fi ready. My other Blu-Ray DVD player by another company stated wi-fi ready as well - and it was wi-fi ready - just pluged it in and set the code to the router and I was on-line.

Blu-Ray’s good, web features lousy

I was pretty excited about all the web based features this product offered, but they’re really a waste of time. Youtube, Netflix, etc. all take incredibly long to load, search, go back… to do anything really. I was hoping I would no longer have to use my computer to stream Netflix to my TV, but the interface on this thing is so slow and annoying that I just gave up after a couple uses. The computer works better, is better quality, and easier to navigate. Basically, I’m using it strictly fo...
