Phono Preamp - Amazing

I've had my turntable sitting next to my receiver for years and now finally am able to play my old albums. The sound is incredible - no hum, just crisp clean sound. Very easy to set up and delivery of the product was fast. Very impressed with B&H (first time purchaser from their site). Being from across the border, the duty/taxes option on the purchase was very easy and seamless. And I was able to track the shipment every step of the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others, which I...

Great Preamp for the Price

I bought this preamp so that I could hook my turntable up to my newer Onkyo receiver. I use a Technics SL-J3 with Bose speakers and the sound is crystal clear. I also really like that it offers the ability to rip your records to a PC.

PERFECT for ripping vinyl LPs to MP3

I bought the VP29 to use in digitizing my LP collection for storage on my computer and to listen to through iTunes. Looked at some other pre-amps, but the VP29 seemed to have the best combination of quality and features for the price.Set up was quick and easy. I attached the phono outputs to the inputs on the VP29, and the outputs on the VP29 to an RCA-to-mini jack Y cable. I plugged that into the line-in jack on my HP PC. SOund is great, with minimal hum.I use Audio Cleaning Lab 14 to create a...

Great bang for the buck

Although I'm not a DJ, I purchased the VP29 to bring my turntable up to line level and run the signel through my mixer and into my powered speakers. I do use the audio equipment for my electronic keyboards but thought I would run the turntable through that equipment as well and it works great. I really like the idea that you can also ground your turntable to the pre-amp and get a nice clean signal that way. The audio cames through distortion free from the hi and low frequencies. This is a well m...

I would buy this product again.

Easy set up and works great with the new receiver. There's is a little green light that stays on all the time if plug into the electric outlet, no off switch.

Simple, highly effective, cost effective

The VP29 is a simple and effective way to amplify your record player. I find the warm rich tone to be superior to any record player with a built-in preamp and even superior to many receivers with phono inputs (at least up into the middle grade of receivers). Recommended for its warm sound, negligible hum, and fair price.

Good bang for the buck.

It has a warm/rich old school sound that I enjoy. It doesn't sound like a CD.

Great product!

Purchased this to use with my new turntable (Music Hall mmf2.2) and it works GREAT! Wasn't so sure how a ~$ pre amp would perform, but I am impressed! The sound quality is great and there is no static or buzzing.

Makes My LP's Come Alive

When I bought my new Home Theater Amp I did not realize that I would need a phono preamp to power my Technics Turntable. I consulted B&H and they recommended the VP29. It comes as a complete package, with the power pack included. Hook up a few wires and I'm able to play my LP's again!
