Misleading Description
I bought this ram for my early 2008 macbook which was starting to run a little slow. After I installed both modules and tried to boot my computer all I got was a black screen. After a quick search I found an apple forum page listing the same problem with a similar computer. It will work combined with one of the original modules but not in pairs, because the ram is incorrectly labeled pc2-5300 when it's actual pc2-6400 and NOT backward compatible with the slower pc2-5300 unless paired with a modu...

DO NOT BUY
These modules are actually 800Mhz. PNY no longer makes or sells 667Mhz modules. Not all computers that require 667Mhz are compatible with 2 800Mhz modules. They refuse to down clock properly. This is especially true with a number of Core 2 Duo MacBooks. Spoke to PNY support, they flat out told me that yes, they sell 800Mhz modules in 667Mhz packaging. If you RMA a module that is 667Mhz (or supposed to be 667Mhz) they will replace it with an 800Mhz module as they no longer have any 667Mhz SODIMMs...

Go for other brands

Then I herad from one of my friend that CORSAIR's VS4GSDSKIT667D2 is optimized for vista. I bought that one (Corsair 2gb*2) and now my laptop's OS (Vista home premium) recognized full 4Gb and is working fine.

I sent it back - It didn't work on my iMac
This was supposed to work on my Intel Imac. It didn't. I sent it back. The good news is that Amazon processed the return without a hassle (like usual). That's why I shop at Amazon so much.

Warning!
Both sticks of ram put together in 4.1 Macbook will not work, but 1 stick with stock ram will work giving you 3gb of ram.

MAC READY!!
I don't know why there are many bad reviews on this product saying that it wont work for mac but it was so easy to instal on my late 2007 white macbook model 2, 1. For all mac users that say it doesnt work just push it in a little harder and itll work. PLUS the package that the ram is in has the Mac finder logo on it which means its mac compatible.
