Half-baked

It's cheap. It's small. It plays video okay. That's about it. The software is just horrible. Each mode has its own set of controls, very unintuitive. Switching modes it SLOW. DLNA functions are EXTREMELY limited. Since I bought primarily it for DLNA I'm very dissatisfied. I'd probably use it as a dumb music renderer.. but no, it's got no outputs except for HDMI!..

Not as cool as I was expecting

This product does all the things it says it does, but I wouldn't say it does them well. I tried streaming from my home wireless network, but it was often choppy or would just get stuck. I can stream things to my phone on the network (in the same room) just fine, but if I use Miracast, it shows up choppy on the TV but normal on the phone.I even tried to watch things off of a USB drive plugged directly into the unit. Guess how that turned out? CHOPPY CHOPPY your peepee. Not sure how that's even po...

Lacking in usability

Specs promise a truly versatile device. Most of it is true. The devil is in the details, however. While technically it does support all those formats, there are severe limitations. Say, matroska (MKV) support is promised. Indeed, MKV playback is supported (AVC+AC3 and such), but MKV-over-DLNA is not supported. Indeed, you can NOT play (or see) MKV-files when browsing a DLNA-server with the built-in client. There's a way, however. If you use an external DLNA-controller (say, a smartphone with Bubbl...

Dreadfull and Slow UI

The UI is terribly slow even doing nothing more than navigating, and is just bad in general. If you connect to a miracast device and then connect back to the network it does not do this automatically and requires about 5 clicks telling it ok, coupled with the UI being slow this is very painful. It is also difficult to set up things like a network FTP folder, I had it setup and working it however doesn't work anymore and now I can not get the network path working again.

Wanted a smarter TV

I bought the player thinking it had browser capabilities, but it does not have a browser! Disappointing! However the functionality overall is very intuitive and easy to use. The smart network feature is exceptional allowing me to stream media content from my laptop to the TV without having to go through the hassle of connecting every thing up every time I want to watch a movie from the laptop. Using the remote for typing words is a pain, but every time you type in a letter a intuitive drop down ...

Doesn't work.

Bought this directly from manufacturer for less than fifty bucks, but the only feature I really wanted was Miracast and it refuses to work. "Cannot connect" with both a Samsung and an LG phone and customer support is clueless. I'm really surprised that a major firm can ship such a turkey, but back it goes.

Remarkably Terrible Product

I paid practically nothing for this device and I still feel like I paid too much.I bought it because it supports Miracast... except it doesn't. Sure, it will occasionally work with my Nexus 7 or HTC One, most of the time it doesn't. It will act like it is connecting but then gives an error. The worst part is, once it gives that error, it will give the error every single time until I unplug the power and plug it back in. Turning it off and back on isn't an option either because it freezes solid w...

Miracast cheaper than chromecast + DLNA + streamer (net + network) + USB hard drive support + Portable

****Note to amazon staff who usually delete links in reviews.**** I have put links so that people know what a great device this is and they can learn more about what miracast can do for you. Amazon is usually fast on deleting links but poor on actually informing the great features of devices and even when i have previously put links on other miracast devices like the netgear PTV3000 that i have reviewed here and LG bluray player BDP730 I put links so that people enjoy a great miracast device. Lo...

don't waste your money

This Media Streaming Player is very slow also the Wi-Fi is useless its crashes and HDMI out only work on some TV brands only. I don't recommend this Panasonic MS-10 Media Streaming Player. Try other brands and check there ratings.
