Inexpensive and cheap
This unit was inexpensive so I picked it up to use in my home office. As soon as I got home and installed it, I began to have problems. The main problem being that I CONSTANTLY have to unplug and plug back in the unit. I'm ok once I get a disc playing or once I get a show playing through Netflix, but if I change shows or turn the unit off and try to turn it back on, I'm taking my chances. I eventually had to place the unit where I can easily unplug/plug the unit in to reboot it. If I had to do i...

Fantastic and affordable Blu-Ray player
Plays every disc thrown at it. Other players that cost hundreds more do not perform as well. Incredible picture and sound, especially when paired with a Viera plasma. Occasionally, I will encounter a disc that will glitch for a few seconds, but I have never had the player not continue afterwards. These glitches are infrequent and not reproducible in most cases. I would not let that dissuade you from purchasing this player, but it does keep it from getting five stars. As far as extra features lik...

Great BD Picture
I was really hesitant to purchase a Blu-Ray player. I took the wrong road with the HDDVD format. I set this player up with out any problems, inserted a BD and I was amazed at the clarity of the picture. I followed by inserting an SD video and I was floored with the exceptional upconverstion of a standard DVD. Why did I wait so long to purchase a BD player?

DMP-DB75 Review
Bought this unit at a low price, and I am happy with my purchase. I wasn't looking for anything great, just as good BD/DVD player. What got me interested is the netflix and online streaming options which I tested and overall I am happy. I wish that this product would also support HULU which would make it perfect. Maybe Panasonic can update the firmware to add HULU functionality. Pros: Cheap and does the trick for blue disk playback if you are not looking for the greatest and latest. I love onlin...

Great Upscaling
I've only had this player for a few days, but I am so thrilled with the upscaling I wanted to add it to the reviews here. I own 2 other upscaling dvd players and this one blows them both away, the blu-ray is stunning of course, but this player really makes my older DVDs look better than new , and almost as good as the blu-ray, it is a claim I had heard before, but the first time I saw it realised. It was a bit of a pain for me to run a cord through the house to connect the player to the internet...

Can't beat the recognition, Can't beat the Price
The BD-35K is by far the best mid-price product on the market. Reviews are Steller, which is the prime reason why I sought out the player. The ONLY downside to the BD-35K is the availability on both online and local retail outlets. However I did find a killer deal with an online retailer. The most impressive feature is the built in Dolby True HD and DTS-HD decoders, saved me a bundle on a new receiver. The BDLive feature is a bonus, considering any Firmware updates are automatically found. One m...

Up conversion Champ!
I have had numerious Panasonic products going as far back as tha early 70s. This player has allowed me and my family to enjoy our extensive DVD collection. All other players, to include exspensive products just could not make the cut. If you are the type of person who needs a player costing more than $700.00 thats OK, but you are truely missing a GEM in the BD80K. The value and cost that Panasonic works for is clear in this player. Thanks Panasonic

Fantastic Picture
Panasonic is still by far making the best Blu-ray player in regards to picture quality and display. This was the most important element in my purchase. I was not really too concerned with all the new VOD features, as I can serve this content in so many ways. However I rated the features 3 stars only because I really like the BDLive features and I think Panasonic needs to go after its competition and release a firmware update that allows for a USB WIFI dongle for all the new player models. This i...

Leave powered off after updates
Worked great out of the box. Picture is awesome and the unit is easy to navigate around in. However, after loading the new firmware update the unit had heavy snow pixelation and the screen would blank out quite a bit. We had to leave the unit powered down for several minutes to get the issue to go away. Looking forward to watching many movies on it in the future. Not looking forward to more updates.

Pretty Solid Blu-Ray player
Although this player doesn't wow me with its features, it is a solid performer and does what it says. The picture quality from a blu-ray disc is excellent...that part DOES WOW me away. This player, coupled with a high quality HDMI cable and 1080p Samsung LCD TV produces one of the best inmages I've seen on a home TV setup. Loading was quicker than most Blu-Ray players I've seen. The network / internet setup was incredibly easy. I just plugged it in, it detected the network, and it was working. T...
