Good value

was easy to setup. True HDMI. Only one HDMI cable to run from cable box or DVD players. Remote was also very good, got rid of my TV/cable/DVD remote with this.I never used my previous HTIB because of the overcomplexity, with this one just power it on and you have true Home theater experience every time. This is my 2nd HTIB from Onkyo and love it.

Price Drop the Day After I Purchased

This review is from: Onkyo HT-S7300 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver and Speaker Package with iPod Dock (Electronics) I do love Amazon's prices, but their policy of not honoring a price change after a purchase is not fair. Any other retailer would honor the difference. I think this policy is unfair to the customer and warrants review. I even get a credit from an airline if they do something like that - and they are the worst at that kind of practice.

Awesome home theater package

This is a great all-in-one home theater system. My favorite feature is the ipod dock/charger which is extremely easy to set up and control. The powered second room feature is a very nice extra, allowing you to run two different sources at once. I love the automated set-up with the microphone, and the color-coded guide with the speakers is helpful. The subwoofer has a very powerful bass response and the rest of the speakers provide very good mid and high performance. You can always spend mor...

Very Satisfied

I recently bought a new 3D TV and wanted a good suround sound system to go with it. After almost a month of use, I have no complaints. I did not use the included speaker wire just because it was too short. But I have a large living room. All in all I am thoroughly happy with the system and am just waiting for more things to be released in 7.1.

Best Bang for the $

I already owned the onkyo 6300 so ordering this upgrade for another room was a no-brainer. You can spend thousands on a surround system like anything else. These Onkyo systems are real sleepers-I don't read all the electronics reviews, but the ones I have rate them highly as well.

very good system

I'm using the system for music now and will use for home theater in future. Very easy to set-up.The music is good but does not seem to fill-up my large den / kitchen area.

Atlantic stands 77305018

Be aware that the Atlantic speaker stands will not fit this HT-S7300 system. speaker package HTP-780. There is no mount screw hole. you will have to move the key hole used for wall mount and move it to the bottom off speaker and buy your own nut and bolts to fit the speaker.and use scotch adhesive fasteners on the bottom off your speakers will hold it good. just a little time out of your day. hope this helps.

Great Stereo, But I got Lemon.... and Amazon took care of me!

Bottom line is I like the receiver. The sound is quite pleasing. It has a sufficient number of HDMI inputs for my needs and met my 3D requirements.I did discover an already known issue (That I did not know about) with DirecTV and most any 3D Audio receiver and 3DTV, it doesn't work right out of the box. One ends up with a "split screen" much like a side by side PIP.It appears this is a problem of DirecTV's making but can be corrected using Samsung's 3D option located in the Content-3D menu, then...

Heat causes intermittent sound loss

This setup is by far the best for the money. When I originally unpacked it and put it in the cabinet, the amp put out so much heat that the sound would go off for a few seconds after about 2 hours of play. I called Onkyo who said they never heard of such a thing and I should do a hard start(push power and vcr together) and if that didn't work I should drive the amp 30 miles to the nearest repair center. In the process of playing with the amp I pulled the cabinet away from the wall and pushed th...
