Travel Solution

I bought these binoculars for my wife after some extensive online research. She was looking for something smaller to take on trips and hikes. We own several other much more powerful binoculars, but they were always impractical for situations that favored low weight and small size. You can get smaller and lighter options, but there is a tradeoff in image quality. These Nikon's seem to check all the boxes, with no serious compromises. My wife was initially dubious of the lower magnification o...

Crispier & Clearer than Ever

I purchased my Travelite VI binoculars to replace my 25 year old Travelite III Binos that served me very well. The new pair at 8X25 power are more than enough for detail and view width. I'm more than pleased with their "clarity" which was my prime requirement for purchase.Right size, Easy to adjust, Decent carrying case, and Excellent price. My wife & I just used them to detail view a Broadwing Hawk in our back yard and I'll take them to New Brunswick next week to watch deer on the river while...

Historical interest: great binoc!

This is a note of historical interest: I bought the direct predecessor of this binocular in 1990, 22 years ago. Exactly the same weight, just 2mm smaller in diameter (8X23). This great little Nikon binoc is still giving great images today. Clear as a bell, light as can be. The hand-grip (leatherette?) has gotten a bit faded, but otherwise it is pristine. Everyone should have one. Thanks for reading. John Robinson

Nice but difficult if you wear glasses

These binoculars are easy to use and are quite clear. If you wear glasses the image is a bit difficult to view. Also I still haven't figured out how to attach the strap.

Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular by Nikon

Tremendous value. I've looked through a great many binoculars, including some very pricey ones, and the improvements they offer over these Nikons is, for my eyes, miniscule at most. In my view, these are all the binoculars that anyone would need for any normal purpose.

Compact but sharp and tight

Super travel binoc-very compact but quite sturdy-have owned a pair for years, travelled extensively with it, but lost them in Italy-pleased to say the current model is, if anything, even more attractive while keeping very easy focusing and tack-sharp focus. Obviously not the binoc if you need maximum field of view or low-light performance, but for daytime use, a great deal of performance for the money.

Just the right size and they are Nikon

My regular 8X36 Sporter 1 Nikon binoculars were too large to carry on a recent hunt so I left them at camp. I really should have taken them along as I almost passed up a deer which I didn't see coming until it was almost too close to react. I decided then and there to search for a smaller, lighter binocular of good quality and easy to carry. I've never had an issue with Nikon so these were the logical choice for me. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and I found I could manage them wit...

In Your Hand, Not Your Closet

Our car was burglarized this past summer, and these were in the glove box. I have 3 other pairs of binoculars, all of them really good quality, but this is the pair that's always to hand instead of back home in the closet because it's small, lightweight, and easy to carry in a pocket, my wife's handbag, or a car glove box. Buying another to replace the one that's been stolen because they're just too freakin' useful to be without. My other glasses are all really good when I am going to make a poi...
