Outstanding

I purchased these binoculars for an Alaskan Cruise based on extensive research. This was my first purchase of quality binoculars and I found them easy to use, lightweight and the brightness was outstanding!

Great Improvement

I recently had my Monarch ATB replaced with this new Monarch, and I am happy to say this is a very solid improvement. No chromatic aberrations that plagued my original binoculars. Build quality also seems to be significantly improved as well. Bright viewing. Focus knob is a bit stiff-this may change with use. Kind of heavier than it seems-which testifies to a better build. Front lens covers also improved, however rear eyepiece covers are the original design that doesn't seem to work well at all....

Great customer service

I had a pair of nikon monarchs that got scratched from hunting over the years. I contacted nikon and sent them in for repair thinking they were just gonna fix my pair and charge me, a couple weeks later nikon replaced my old pair with a new pair of monarch 5's . I couldn't be happier . I won't buy anything but nikon

Deceptive....

I purchased these binoculars for my mom. I am very unhappy with the fact that she must hold them away from her face in order to view anything through them. They will not adjust small enough to fit her face. The covers for the lenses will not stay on at all. We are still trying to decide how to proceed.

Stunning and functional

As an ocean lifeguard, I've used several types of lower grade binos in the past and eventually just gave up on using binos all together because they would always have issues. After I was introduced to the Nikon Monarch 3, I knew I had to have them. I ordered the Nikon Monarch 5 and have been using them for a few weeks now. There's nothing I don't like about them. They provide a crisp view for me to evaluate what's going on. This is vitally important for my job...to see people's facial expression...

This pair of binos are actually a warranty replacement from Nikon. I originally had a pair of Nikon 8x42 ATBs that after 2 1/2 years had major issues with the eyepieces. Literally fell apart with debris in the internals. So kudos to Nikon for the replacement. I am going to start off with saying that these are a SIGNIFICANT improvement over my previous ATBs. The optical quality is a step up. You can easily see the difference. The ATBs had obvious and very clear chromatic abberations when viewing ...

Good for bird watching

We ordered these binoculars based on reviews from Cornell Labs and references in various birding magazines. Not only were we pleased with the results, but the clarity of the images and close focus capability exceeded our expectations. The binoculars are water resistant, fog proof, and rubber coated for a good grip. Another nice feature is the attached lens covers which are not a hinderence to viewing. They out perform our 4 other pairs of binocs. We would recommend them

Great quality

I use the binocular for hunting (birds and deers). Comparing to my other binoculars (5 times more expensive) renders very little difference. The lenses are fantastic, eye relief works perfectly and it's rugged - yet reasonably compact. The price/quality ratio is great and I'd recommend it to everyone wanting a long lasting dependable binocular.

My new "go to" pair of binoculars!

I now own 3 pair of Monarch's. The original version is hanging by my back door. The She version is in my glove compartment and these are on my neck every day. I teach binocular use during my Intro to Birdwatching tours and I am always asked to recommend products. I tell the consumer to compare the Monarch to binoculars in their price range and buy what they can afford. The B&H website is great and the staff is terrific.
