Dead on

This scope was sighted in on my 5.56 the quick release allows me to move to different barrels ie. 300 blackout and 7.62x39 and I was able to put 30 rounds of each in a tight group the size of a quarter at 100 yards. Great scope lots of features. Little money.

great scope

Bought this for my seekins 300 blackout about two months ago. Just laser bore sighted it,didn't have time to take it to the range to fine tune it. Went to ranch to look for some hogs, when this coyote walked out about 100 yrds. Shot him above his two front legs dead center in his chest. Great scope. For the guy with the 6.8, I've shot plenty of hogs with my 300 blackout. Last one I shot was 250 lbs at 125 yrds. Using 130 grain supersonic bullet.

Versatile scope

I love the way that you can go from supersonic to subsonic. At this time I have not stretched it out to see how far it will go. Some videos say up to 600 yards. I do know at 200 yards (supersonic) it is a tack driver.

Great Scope for the price

Just got mine, Wonderful scope. Well worth the price. Mounted with a set of P-300 Nikon scope rings this is the best set up for the AR 15 with a .300 Blackout upper I have seen. Very easy to use.

Hard to beat for price/performance

Works great on my Mini-14, delivering consistent performance in spite of the rifle's relatively harsh operation. Mounted in the factory rings without any trouble.\n\nDid manage to vibrate free one of the adjuster knob covers (not surprising for a Mini-14 since that rifle is a PITA for recoil vibration). Fortunately found the pieces and reassembled. Zeroed with a bore sight and back to nice grouping in just a few minutes.\n\nA quick email to NikonUSA support confirmed it is okay to use purple Loc...

The scope is perfect

For the 300 blackout, the reviewer who claimed that the 6.8 SPC was better must be basing it on the availability of ammo. There is lots of 6.8 and the 300 BLK is scarce. But more manufacturers are coming out with great loads and the round is very versatile. The scope rounds out the gun making it the perfect gun for varmints, hogs and white tails. It's my favorite gun since I added the scope. The scope has great light for a 32 mm scope. The only thing I wish it had was a quick zoom rod/lever to m...

300 BLK is here to stay

The 6.8 SPC fanboy has no idea what he is talking about. The 300 Blackout is already more popular than the 6.8 SPC and it has only had two short years since induction into SAAMI to do it. If I were to pick a niche caliber it would be the supersonic only 6.8 SPC. The 300 Blackout fills the supersonic and subsonic, suppressed and unsuppressed for close to medium hunting roles. With ballistics similar to the 30-30, which has probably taken more deer in the woods of the central to eastern US than an...

Should have made a P68 instead

The 300 Blk will never be as popular of a hunting cartridge in the AR-15 as the 6.8 SPC, not for hogs or anything else for that matter.\n\nThe Nikon P series scope is good quality optic though(I have two), so I recommend it despite being made for such a niche cartridge.

Good value

This is a typical good value Nikon riflescope. Optics are clear and bright beyond its fairly low price point.\nThe easily resettable turrets are a plus and custom caps are available for different weight projectiles. It comes with a 115 grain cap which was ideal for me. The only perceived drawback is the center of the reticle. The tiny circle with cross hairs inside is just too \"busy\" to be useful to me.\nThe Spot-On ballistic software is very handy and is a great enhancement to a versatile sco...
