Best bang for the buck....

I've been looking to replace a cheap pair of 10 X 52mm binoculars of another brand for quite a while. I researched several brands in the 10 X 42mm size, comparing spec's and prices. Then going out to several retailers and actually looking through them all. I kept coming back to the Nikon Monarch series. My biggest choice was in comparing the Monarch, 3's, 5's, and 7's. I chose the Monarch 5 since I felt it had the best, clearest optics with great color definition, light in weight, compact in siz...

Excellent Binocular

The Nikon Monarch 5 10X42 Binocular represents the best binocular on the market in it's class. I have now carried this binocular on a couple of dozen hunts and spent hours behind them with no complaints. Whether I am glassing mule deer in the mid day sun or watching elk at last light they have been sharp and clear. The Monarch 5 is light weight and compact to carry as well as durable and easy to use. The eye relief is more than ample for use with glasses and the focus knob is quick and convenien...

Valued for money

I bought the Monarch 5 in around US245. It is valued for money. When I bought it, I tested both Monarch 5 and Minox BV series. Finally, I choose Nikon as it is cheaper, lighter and more brightness than Minox BV series.

Exceptionally sharp and bright sport optics

I used two other pairs of binoculars for a number of years but was never happy with the sharpness. I have been a long-time user of Nikon's cameras and lenses and in 2013 I bought a pair of Monarch 5 10x42s. During the shopping process I was careful to compare the brands available at the retail outlets I visited and I did not limit myself to a particular price range or manufacturer. To tell the truth, what I found in the comparison process didn't surprise me. Nikon's offering was noticeably sharp...

Way more than your money's worth

Most avid deer hunters know there are certain hunting essentials you don't skimp on when it comes to price. "Optics", in most hunter's minds, definitely fall into that category. The old mantra, "you get what you pay for" is generally the rule and not the exception regarding hunting gear. Not so in this case. These Nikon Aculon binos absolutely deliver way more than you expect them to deliver at such an affordable price. Most hunter's would argue that if your scopes, range finders, and binos don'...

Excellent optics

I went to the sporting goods store with the intention of purchasing a pair of vortex diamondbacks 10x42 to replace my Redfield rebel 10x42s. While comparison shopping, I happened to look through the Monarch 5 10x42. The images were sharper with better color transmission. The Monarchs were also more comfortable to use. With the Diamondbacks , it was difficult for me to keep my pupils centered on the lenses and avoiding "blackouts" even when adjusting the interpupillary distance. The Monarch's com...

excellent Bino's in a small package.

Bought the monarch 5 10x42 ATB and love these. The view is crystal clear. I have bought several different kinds and i hard them. They go everywhere with me as i am a birder. been on hikes up mountains, in the canoe, so finally bought a waterproof pair. I looked through them yesterday and said to myself. WOW what a view. I have never said that before with any other bino. I bought a nikon Bino for my first pair and now i am back and a big believer in Nikon. I have had this particular pair for abou...

Crisp Glass!!

I have a pair of Nikon 8x32 travel type binocs that I bought nearly 20 years ago as a photographer. I picked up the Aculon because I wanted a bit more power for looking downrange while long range target shooting. Out of curiosity I focused on a single point with both pair of Nikons and then swapped them to and from my eyes while focused on a single point......and the difference is UNBELIEVABLE. The small Nikons give a great picture, but when I put the Aculon up to my eyes, its as if you turned t...

Very bright

I have an older pair of the Monarchs, maybe they're a Monarch 3? Anyway I needed a second pair and decided to upgrade to the 5, based on a review done by the Cornell Lab or Ornithology. I couldn't be happier, I liked the old pair and was tempted to just get the 3 but the 5 is a huge improvement. They're brighter and sharper than my old pair. This is a great buy for the money. So if you can't afford Leicas then just get these. They really are rather impressive.
