Terrific bargain

When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised by how compact these binoculars are. The images are clear and very sharp at the centers; although the image loses a bit of bite around the edges, that's a very forgivable problem from a set of binoculars of this size and price. There are only two noticeable cons. First, there are no lens caps for the front elements, which means that you're essentially forced to use the provided case (which, admittedly, is well made and functional). Second, the ey...

Clear, compact, and light

I bought this mainly for carrying while backpacking or while doing field photography. We have owned another pair of Nikon binoculars (Travelite II) for many years, which led me to the Trailblazer. They, like our other pair, are light and have very clear vision. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

exceeds expectation for size and price

I just purchased my second pair of these binoculars (my first pair was stolen on a trip to Peru) and am happy to have them back. The clarity of the optics is the best I have experienced in the price range and the size, weight and price make them a low risk investment for a first time or extra pair to have around. Mostly I use them for bird watching and because of their convenience they are basically my go-to binoculars for most situations. I do have another larger, more expensive pair that I tak...

Not waterproof

Took these out once kayaking. Got a bit of sea water splashed on them and then rinsed under a tap on getting home. Day later noticed water in left side. Now totally useless.

Finally - Binoculars that WORK!

This review is from: Nikon Trailblazer H2O Proof ATB Binoculars (Misc.) I've grown up in a family populated by bird & wildlife lovers. Over the past decade, I've really developed an interest in bird-watching. 6 months ago, I moved to a wonderful new home situated on a decently sized pond. For only being approx football-field-sized, it has a tremendous variety of waterfowl. From September (moved-in) until Christmas, I couldn't see any of the birds well enough to clearly identify ...

Great value

I am a semi professional birder and use Swarovski myself. I purchased these for my grown daughter who has been wanting to have a pair that would be easy to take anywhere. For the price, these are great. They are very compact and very adjustable as far as eye width goes. B & H has the best price on these that I could find.

Great Bang for the Buck!

Use for birding, sporting events and general use.Totally compact and ultra light weight.Very wide field of view - easy to spot what you are focusing on.Fold up and fit in pocket or carry on your belt in provided case.Virtually no strain on neck after hours of wear.Waterproof, Nitrogen Filled and O-Ring sealed too.More than bright enough in daylight situations.I am totally happy with this purchase and the people at B&H could not be more helpful. If you are in NYC go to B&H - see Yosef at the binoc...
