Simple, ergonomic, clear, sturdy

I got these to fulfill a need: to be a pair of binoculars which would work in the rain if necessary, and be portable. They work great for this, and I use them for wildlife viewing, and hunting. In fact I use them for wildlife viewing while hunting. They're adequately rugged for me. The adjustable eyecups are a simple and functional feature which is new to me, and I like. The optics are obviously the reason to choose this vs. others - I have positive experience with Nikon riflescopes and expec...

EXcellent, sharp binocs

I bought these for a whitewater rafting trip down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon. They are light, waterproof, rugged and sharp. Perfect for the purpose of a portable binoc in a harsh environment.

Great Binocs, but buy 8 x 25's for bird watching.

I love these (light, bright, clear, great quality, reasonable price), but would get 8 x 25's if purchasing again, because the 9 power makes them a little jittery, especially when used from a kayak. You'll love 'em!

High quality product

Excellent optics. Compact, rugged design. Easy to adjust and focus except that diopter is a little difficult to adjust.

same optics as Travelite - tougher

This has the same optics as the Travelite, but in a tougher, waterproof casing that adds a bit of weight. They are still quite compact, and they are a better choice for active use - I have had a pair of travelites for many years, and they have had to go back to Nikon to be realigned twice after very minor bumps.

Great value

I use these binoculars for observing the shoreline and wildlife from on board a boat. They are the perfect magnification, and give a stunningly sharp image- very crisp and clean. Since I use them in a wet environment, the waterproof nature is critical, and so far, after 2 months of hard use, I've been very happy with the fog-free lenses. Nice and lightweight. I like these a lot!

Nikon 8x25 Prostaff

Optically in the center these are excellent, almost as sharp as quality full-size binos. Certainly in daylight they are adequately bright but fall off rapidly at dusk. I'm an eyeglass wearer and releif was not an issue, nor staying on point to what you are viewing, often an issue with subcompacts. They appear well made for the price and reasonably sturdy. Twist out eyecups are nice and the click right eye adapter worked well and would see to stay in place. Size is a little bulky but unit does ap...

Superb quality at a great price

Nikon manages to strike a great balance with these binoculars between quality and price. They're beautifully crafted, easy to use bins with a crisp, sharp image. Rubber armoured for ruggedness and completely waterproof. Good for spectacle wearers too. The lifetime warranty gives me an additional level of confidence.
