Excellent optics when you travel light

Very compact and very light, with very good optical performance. Not really for low light, but when you don't want to carry full size, or even the normal compact size binoculars, these are for you. Will slide right in any pocket, or wear around your neck and you'll hardly notice.

Understand the trade-offs made for compactness

I bought this to replace a pair of Leica Ultravid 8x20 BL as my everyday-carry jacket-pocket binoculars. They are very compact, and unlike opera glasses they have a useful 7x magnification. The porro prism is in a reverse configuration, where the objective lenses are more narrowly spaced than the oculars, which reduces 3D separation, but as I have a strong directive eye, it doesn't make that much of a difference.Build quality is excellent (apart from the neck string that you have to knot yoursel...

A great addition

I have 15 pairs of high end binoculars and really didn't need another pair until I saw these.I am glad I bought them as they are really fantastic for their size. I am amazed at their quality. They also are a nice minature pair. These are smaller than opera glasses and are not cheap looking. They will attract attention. If you want them for anything in the early morning and evening these are not for you. You can fit them in the palm of you hand and shirt pocket.

Tiny but not a toy.

I saw these a couple of years ago in Japan. My old binoculars needed replacing. I am a little old lady, I travel a lot, I travel very light. So, these seemed like just the ticket. When they arrived and I figured out which end was which - I was amazed at how good these are. I am heading off across the US and Canada on the train later next month - I'll take the little binoculars and will update this review if any thing comes up that will change my rating.

Nikon 7 x 15 binocular

Please see the review I wrote for the very similar 6 x15 model. Both of these binoculars are hard to find new.

Great things do come in small packages

These have a clear image over the entire viewing area. The all metal construction feels like a quality product as soon as you pick them up.
