A little bit of a pain in the butt to get installed.
I tried the free trial and liked it so I ordered the full product at a great price from Amazon. I uninstalled the free trial since it was an old version Nero 9. I've also used Nero since version 6 and have always found it to be a great. Bloated adware - and all the old options are GONE
they've really dumbed v11 down. none of the old options are available by simple menus. everything is workflow driven, and none of it makes any sense to a previous user. It might be easier to use for a grade schooler or grandparent who has time to waste to watch videos and go thru a 100 steps to get to anything useful. and you don't see what's coming, since only one or two things are picked on each screen. Worse than version 10
I've used Nero since version 6 and have always found it to be a pretty good, but not great, suite of products. Burning ROM has always been great, and the "recode" tool has always been superior to anything else I could find. The other tools have always been meh in my opinion.I personally am not happy with Nero 11. Do you want to install the Ask Toolbar? For software that I've purchased, this is not what I want to see while installing (using the Administrator account - a standard user can't install Nero).Like others, I've found the software to get worse with each generation lately. Not for me
I tried to use Nero 11 Platinum but even with a high end computer (Windows 7 Ultimate w/8 GIG RAM) it was very slow to open and stopped working repetitively. Tried again and again; at last it presented me with everything that I had on my computer in that type of media. All I wanted to do was copy my CD book to my computer for transfer to my iPod.FYI, this program is a piece of JUNK.

Horrible.
I've been a faithful user of the Nero suite for about 8 years, and this is the end of that relationship. Several of the functions that I used in ALL prior version have been dumbed down, or removed in this release, making the product useless for me. Just TERRIBLE! The WORST!
I installed this on my computer about two weeks ago and it is terrible. The Nero company has put so much extra rubbish into this that it actually slows down your computer. It takes between 30-60 seconds (and eturnity in PC land) to move from one menu to the next. Works Great But Some Features Taken Out
This is in my testing the most problem free release Nero has had on initial release in years. Every thing "just worked". My disappointment though comes from some of the CD burner and speed testing utilities apparently being removed from this release. They are nowhere to found under the Nero 11 Folder. I tested the software on a Win 7 64 bit machine and had no problems whatsoever. Recommended if one doesn't need the old advanced utilities that used to be in every Nero version for years.
