I Luv My Zune
Since it's a very short list, here are the failings of the Zune...
1. Podcasting! I don't give a flying fig about them, but honestly even though it won't "seamlessly update" like itunes. It can be done. In fact some more tech savy folks can tell you exactly how to do it. Just search the net, many Zune users have accomplished it just fine. The audio file doesn't care which player is playing it.

I got my Zune just after Christmas this year when everyone was showing up at work with their new iPods, Creative Zens, and other personal media players. I tried to like it.
So i picked this product up after my brother had an unfortunate accident with my 30g black iPod, i thought what the hell, i love Microsoft software, i might as well try some hardware.

So close to being the Ipod killer they hoped for.
I wont get too wordy, Just the good & bad:
Bad:
* You MUST use the Zune software to load music onto the device. This forces you to use their somewhat cumbersome & buggy software. I expect it will improve in its next iteration, but it leads into my second point..
* No way to utilize as an external storage device. This should be a simple & straightforward implementation. Almost every other player on the market can do this, the Zune should be able to as well.

never a problem
I've had my Zune for 7 months and I've NEVER had a problem with it. Not once!! The software works and has worked perfectly for me (including the brand new update!)
It's an amazing device to bring on vacations because with proper applications, DVD movies, and tv shows recorded from my computer can be put onto the Zune.
It's fantastic. I treat my electronics wonderfully and take care of them so I never have any problems. Some of the people who have troubles with the Zune...

Gave it shot, and am pleased after a week trial...
I'm an Asian geek who loves electronics, so I had to try this thing out. Like many, I also own an iPod... but mine is a 40GB 4th gen WITHOUT video. Good Player! But has room for improvement.
I bought this at Best Buy not knowing what it had to offer (other then it had music, pictures and videos.) Since I have so much feedback for this player, I've divided it into three sections. Good, Bad, and the Ugly.

A nonbiased review of the brown brick
OKay, so there seems to be a buttload of people trying to pass this thing off as a dead-in-the-water attack on the I-pod before they have have even put their grimey little hands on it. Here's a fair and honest look at it from someone who has had both a mini and an Ipod video.

Huge MS fan hates Zune: No Folders! No Drag & Drop!
I'm a soldier preparing to deploy sometime in the (non-specified) future to a non-specified middle-eastern country currently the center of our fight with certain insurgents.
Along with 29 other soldiers, I was given a Zune as part of an intensive Arabic language course running for about 20 weeks. I guess the idea will be that we'll use them with our language CDs to study.
