Works over 50ft away and survives abuse
From 50+ft the USB dongle performs crisply and responds without latency, the mouse and keyboard each use 2 AA batteries but the mouse actually works on just one battery in the left slot and at the same range.Line of sight isn't necessary and the keyboard works in DOS and during system boot (POST) a distinct advantage over bluetooth keyboards.The durability is top notch, one of our emotionally spirited users took out their frustrations and smashed the mouse against keyboard hard enough to pop off...

Great keyboard
I bought this keyboard when the letters wore off my old keyboard. I loved it. However, about 3 weeks after I bought it, I spilled iced tea and of course, it was ruined. I then purchased the Microsoft 1000 wireless which is awful! It's slow to respond, locks up and hesitates. I am now, going to pay the extra and re-buy this keyboard. I highly recommend it.

Disappointed
I can't believe any company would make a keyboard without a Caps Lock or Number lock light. It's not a big deal, but it is frustrating as I use all caps a lot in my work. If you hit a couple of keys at the same time, the keyboard switches functions and you have to find that magic combination of keys to hit again to get it back to normal mode. Not for programmers
What's great about it: functionality, programmability, wireless What's not so great: function keys make it unusable It's a pretty good keyboard/mouse combo, but the function keys are lame. As a programmer, I'm always using the function keys (F5 to debug, F10/F11 to step, etc), and this keyboard just doesn't cut it for that type of work.
