Installed successfully on Macbook (10.5.4)
I have 120 GB Macbook. Got this 32-bit Windows Home Premium DVD and successfully installed it on a 35 GB partition created by Boot Camp. Out of 35 GB, Windows OS took 10.5 GB of disk space. Satisfied!

Powerful, fast, and much, MUCH better than its reputation
First off, this is an OEM software. That means it is intended to be installed on a new computer build NOT upgrade an existing copy of Windows. It is possible to install it on an existing computer by formatting an existing or new hard drive, but that would violate the license for this particular incarnation of Vista. If you want to install it on an existing computer, buy a full retail copy, or an upgrade copy. I love Vista 64-bit. It is fast, easy to use, and the best Windows to date....

Make sure you know the major differences between this 64 bit and the 32 bit versions of Vista
Runs most 32bit Vista applications. Programs like system diagnostic software and antivirus software are not all able to run on Vista 64.Will not run any 32bit drivers. Cell phones, PDAs, webcams, network cards (wired & wireless) and others will not automatically work. If you have something that plugs in to your computer and cannot function with a generic driver, it will not work unless a specific 64bit driver is available for your device. A lot of older hardware (2years+, I know t...

Cheaper but no Micorosoft Support
This version of Windows Vista is the OEM version, which means that it does not come with a box or a manual, just a "Quick Install" guide. This is the FULL version of Vista but another thing that it is lacking is support from Microsoft. Because this version is intended for (as the title suggests) system builders, whoever that may be, they are the people who are supposed to provide the End User Support not Microsoft. It does, however, still include Windows Update so there do not think that you wil...

cheapest way to get vista
This is the cheapest way to get vista that I know of. However, of course it has all the faults that microsoft is famous for. Buy a mac and make your life easier. Not sure if the developers version installs easily on a barebones pc, but it installed without trouble on a second partition on a macbook. In that situation at least it is not worth buying the non-developers versionI give it five out of five for price, and 1 out of five because its vista, making three out of five ...

Avoid this version
If you change the teeny tiniest bit of hardware on your computer, you will need to repurchase this product. Microsoft WILL NOT let you reactivate. To purchase the version of Vista that Microsoft will reactivate (after invasive, accusatory questioning from their support people over the phone), you need to spend $400 on the full version of Vista. Outrageous!

Ticked Off In California
This is a typical upgrade ripoff. I pay for my HP which comes with Vista Premium and enough slots for 8 gigs of RAM, buuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttt with the 32-bit OS I can only see/use 6 gigs of the RAM and I think Vista has other problems but that is heresay. I know that new OSes are not perfect and aren't going to be compatible with everything but stop blaming it on the fact that Vista is a memory hog you just didn't make a very good match with Vista and the current level of hardware. The fact that...

Works flawlessly on Mac with Parallels...
I bought this OEM version of Windows XP in order to install Windows on my Mac to use with Parallels, which lets you seamlessly run Mac and Windows simultaneously and drag and drop between the two OS's. DO NOT partition your Mac first with Bootcamp - Parallels does the whole Windows installation completely seamlessly and flawlessly. Just install Parallels first, then Parallels prompts you to insert the Windows installer. Since Parallels creates a whole new virtual partition which as far as Window...

Window Vista Home Premium
This product is alright, I give it a 7 out of 10. Takes awhile to get use to. Some of the new flashy bells and whistle are unnecessary and takes up a chunk of memory. I use both Mac(graphic design) and PC(gaming). I can see how Vista is trying to integrate similar features of Mac OSX by trying to go all out on the visuals which is kind of cool and lame at the same time, if anything, Vista should have gone the simpler route. I love using XP because of its simplicity, I guess Vista is something th...

Works As Intended
I bought Windows Vista to use on my Intel based iMac, and it runs just as I expected it to. It is by no means a good operating system, but for those of you that need to switch over to Windows for a couple programs, this certainly will do the trick. The install was painless via Bootcamp, and the package comes with everything you need to be up and running in no time.
