Here's an in-depth review of this wireless mic

I work professionally as an audiovisual technician, and grabbed this mic on the cheap because I throw an annual karaoke event using mostly wired equipment; I'm accustomed to using high-end Shure wireless kits from day to day, but I can't afford those for my little shindigs! My first impression is that this is not a bad product for the money at all. The transmitter (microphone) takes one nine-volt battery, while the receiver (base) can either be plugged into an outlet or fitted with a...

Do not use unless you have a Line IN input

This microphone in theory, is a good deal. However, like most people, I have a karaoke player with only microphone inputs and this microphone performed poorly (fuzzy). And I am not about to go out and buy a new karaoke machine just for this wireless microphone, so it only gets 2 stars from me. The cords are not very long either, so you can't move the receiver very far from the karaoke machine either.Too bad, affordable wireless microphones are hard to find (outside of the low-qual...

Great for Kids toy

It does need a line-In to work properly. I did not get this for use with a Karaoke System.I purchased this for Easter for my diva 4 year old. My daughter is able to walk around our whole house (1300 sf) and the reception is there, but the farther you are from the receiver, the more static there is. It works just as expected. I purchased it on Clearance [...].This required 2 9V batteries, not AA batteries.

Great Mic

I have had two of these microphone for about two years. It has worked well for me, but I have noticed the fuzziness-I guess I'll try plugging it into the line input. I own two of them, and I am rather dissapointed that you can't use 2 at a time. A great product improvement would be to add at least one more frequency to the mic so you can use more. The company would probably sell more if they did that, too.Anyway, overall, I am relatively pleased with this set, and I hope my review he...

2 Wireless Mic's together

This is in response to the question of whether or not you can use 2 microphones together. No you cannot. They are on the same frequency and it causes a lot of feedback. Painful for the ears, but they should definetly make the product so that you can change the frequency and use more than 1 wireless microphone.

You get what you pay for!

This mic is ok for little kids. But it is very fuzzy. I gave it many chances now I'm returning it.

I absolutely love it!

I love this wireless microphone, but if you go too far away from the reciever, the microphone will turn off. Other than that, there are really no other problems I have had with it. I love being able to take the microphone anywhere without the cords tripping and tangling around me. I hope I helped you make your decision! This microphone set is great; I want to get another one!

Limited Usefulness

Range is EXTREMELY short for this microphone, like 7 feet. If the person blocks the "line of sight" to the antenna the range the microphone cuts out. A very disappointing product but it is an inexpensive consumer item, about 1/5 the price of a "real" wireless microphone and receiver unit.<br />

Memorex Wireless Microphone

I purchased this item from Amazon.com almost two months ago. When it first arrived, I thought it was the wrong model. It wasn't, though. It looks alot different in the picture than it does when you take it out of the box. It is actually a silver color rather than a black color. The receiver is much smaller and is also silver.
