As I understand it, the Manhattan device is basically an "HID" (human-interface-device) model. It takes the four analog buttons and four analogue axes available in a classic "gameport" setup, and creates an "HID" game controller device, recognizable by Windows just like any other HID device. It won't know (or care) what brand you have. The switches actually map different analog lines (again, four buttons and four axes) to different "virtual controller" functions, to represent what the "real" jo...

I was looking for a converter for my CH Flight Pro which used an old DB-15 plug, and well is no longer used anymore.I saw this, and was a little pricey bot ordered it and it works great. It converted the joystick to USB and Vista detected it and installed drivers and was up and running in no time.It has a switch on it to configure for four different joysticks makers and different axis and such.It has a good build quality and over has a clean look and doesnt look cheap. One thing though, older game...

Unfortunately I could not get this adapter to work with my Microsoft Force Feedback Pro Joystick. My computer does not have a game port as it has built in audio....only USB ports. This Adapter may work with some other joysticks but I could not get the computer to recognize it no matter what I did. I am using Windows XP w/SP2. I took a Creative Labs sound card out of a slightly older computer and installed it. Windows XP recognized it immediately now I can use the joystick.

This adapter was my last resort to trowing away a perfectly good game controller which only problem was having a legacy GamePort DA-15, but the Manhattan USB Game Port Adapter did the trick. Just plug it in no extra software needed windows will find the drivers on its own. I still needed drivers for the controller but that was easy to find online and not the adapter's fault.Great product, I highly recommend.NOTES:Installed on Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit

I use the game port on my sound card for an old flight simulator radio/joystick. It served me well for over 10 years but has became increasingly more unstable and jittery of late. Deciding to upgrade, I soon realized that finding a new sound card with a game port would prove to be a difficult task. Incompatibilities with front side bus speeds and newer types of PCI slots eventually steered me towards a USB interface. There are quite a number a choices for this type of device although the selecti...

Excellent & amazing product. Works as advertised. Pretty much plug and play. I recommend you though to first attach the adapter to your old joystick and then connect it to your computer USB port to allow Windows to detect it and install the drivers accordingly. This is such an amazing converter for your old joysticks. I'm now able to play my old Commodore computer emulator games again with ease and great compatibility. I didn't know about this Manhattan brand up until now and it is very good qua...

This is a great product, now I can attach my flight simulator yoke smooth. I like it so much, it has many uses. I can attach a joy stick or my old ForceBack Joy Stick into it. This is great, I might end up buying another one. I recomended to anybody who has a old joy stick with the old game parallel connector to attach it to the new usb on the back of your laptop or your new computer.

I do a fair amount of time on my Microsoft Flight Simulator and had the virtual pilot pro yoke and pedals run through a game port on my XP computer. I recently updated to Windows 7 and found there was no support for game ports and legacy equipment. So it was either spend $250 or so on USB equipment or try an adapter. I opted for the Manhattan adapter and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Simply set it to option 3 (4 axis/4 button) and plugged it in. It was immediately installed and...

Since upgrading to the newer operating systems, Vista, and then 7, I have not been able to use my CH Pro Pedals, due to the gameport connections that those operating systems no longer support. This device now makes that possible. Thank You!
