Magellan=Horrible GPS, Horrible Tech Support, Horrible Customer Service!
 
Was given this GPS as a gift. First unit would not charge and would not stay on even when plugged in. After way too much time spent on the phone over several days with tech support and customer service was finally told I could exchange unit for a "refurbished" one. So brand new GPS gets replaced with a used one. Wow thanks a lot Magellan!I then did an internet search and discovered many, many owner's of this unit with the exact same problem. I suspect that's why Magellan insisted on replacing my

This is the second one of these that we have owned. The first one was stolen from my automobile while working in the field! Must be pretty popular so as to get stolen.

The unit itself seems to function ok. No huge issues with the piece itself. Stays charged pretty decently, ( warns when not powered up enough..) all the features work and are easy to use. It includes phone numbers to call your destination if it is a business.. Lots of cool, but simple extras that I do like.Unfortunately, it is extremely misleading in directions on a regular basis. Sends you to dead ends, never ending circles sometimes, repeat U-turns that make no sense..wrong roads, refer to
