RAID HW crash led to loss of 2yrs Video
 
I have used this drive for 2 years to backup my AVCHD files prior to video editing. My understanding was that the RAID system (configured RAID 5) would prevent my data from being lost should I loose a hard drive. What I did not anticipate was that the entire RAID hardware would fail, resulting in the drive being unable to recreate my array, hence loosing all of my data at once. Lacie has refused to refund the money for the drive, and actually suggested that the drive is still usable. NEVER will
