Great flash drive, fair price
By professional reasons, I usually need a lot of memory capacity in flash drives. When I buy a new one, I have 3 concerns:1. It must be shock resistant. This Kingston structure is made in rubber and, when it falls, it jumps instead of break;2. It can't be slow, especially for writing. I had a 32GB Patriot Xporter, an excellent memory. I think this Kingston 128GB is a little faster both for reading and writing;3. As much as possible, it is desirable that the flash drive has...

THIS is the one to get -- BEST value in USB drives
There's a huge choice in USB drives these days. The most common thing that people overlook is that beyond fancy packaging and memory size, not all USB drives are created equal. Most USB drives read/write at rates of 10mb/5mb. If you don't transfer large numbers of files or multi-gigabyte files, this is perfectly fine. However, if you do find yourself wanting better performance, then it's time to upgrade to the R500.The general pricing of standard Kingston 16Gb USB drives is about...

Perfect
Pros- FAST- FAST!- Did i mention fast?- Rugged- Reliable- Stands out- Idiot proofCons- Bigger then standard USB- Cap doesn't stay on the back securelyFirst up, lightening fast. It lives up to the advertised speed, unlike most USB drives. It's rugged case means throwing this baby around is a planned exercise, not a feared annoyance. The only issue i have is it is bigger then a normal drive, meaning a slight inconvenienc...

You have the need for Speed, LOOK somewhere else.
This drive is not fast. advertises to be 20mb/sec write. I'm an accountant and have a single folder for files I backup daily. I use Save-n-Sunc to backup (sync) all my data to a flash drive. This drive (Kingston R500) took 43 min. and the old Sandisk took 12min. Both drives checked 6019 files, updated 28 files, added 2 files, checked 6.74Gb and updated 725.65Mb. This drive isn't as fast as my old SanDisk. Both are 16gb drives. As a reference I also ran the sync on a 1TB Freeagent external HD @...

Unreliable soft plastic junk
I spent a little extra on this Kingston USB drive because I wanted something that would last. Unfortunately, I have been sorely dissappointed. After only 2 months of use, mine started to become extremely "touchy" when it was plugged in. Sneeze on it and it will stop reading. Sneeze on it again and it reads again.Don't bother to spend extra money on this. It's not worth the trouble.UPDATE 3/20Kingston replaced the original USB drive under warranty in December. Howeve...

USB jump drive
Very durable, usual quality from Kingston. This is a very fast drive as compared to previous generation( I have a 200 in same 128GB.) works well for carrying files about.

Awesome flash drive, especially for the price
This was exactly what I was looking for, not only does it have an impressive amount of memory for its size, it feels very durable. It is not made of hard plastic like the picture looks, it actually has a grippy rubber shell. For this price it really is a steal.

Worked for awhile, then failed completely
This Kingston 64GB flash drive worked for about 3 months, then started acting flaky. Within a few days it failed completely. This is not a simple data-corruption issue, its so broken that it cannot be reformatted.
