Great buy

Set up was easy as was setting up wi-fi, netflix, pandora and so on.Remote is easy to use it's just a bit bulky. The picture from a regular DVD is great and the BR picture is amazing.I'm using a 40 dollar HMI cable as I was told that they all do put out the same quality picture and I have no regrets...it works great.I read the reviews on the previous model and it said that the disk made noise as it played...I have not noticed anything but silence from this one. No noise wh...

Well Worth The Money

I had originally purchased the NS-WBRDVD, but could never get it to connect on my network. I found out after the purchase that there were problems with the encryption my ISP uses. I exchanged it for the NS-BRDVD4, figuring I wouldn't worry about the Blu-ray player connecting to the internet, since my Wii is already online. The NS-BRDVD4 had no front panel display, which I found to be a big inconvenience. I then figured I'd try the NS-WBRDVD2. Went into the manual internet setup, changed the encr...

WORK UNTIL AUTO UPGRADE-NO SUPPORT-ITEM DEAD

This Insignia blu-ray wireless player have an auto-upgrade firmware that totals out the machine. The customer Service and Support has very limited heip on this item. They final help is to take back the player to Best Buy under the warranty and it will be replaced. The only problem it that if the warranty has expired you are out of luck. I purchased their player Insignia decided to auto upgrade the firmware. This is NOT your/my fault, but Insignia. If it doesn't work (player has no power and is d...

Amazing Quality and Value

I found that some of the complaints in the reviews I read were user error. This blu ray player is amazing. It has all of the features of my mother's sony at a fractiion of the price. the wireless has a great connection and my modem is upstairs. movies stream great, the user interface is great and i can surf and search netflix with no problem. pandora isi great and the blu ray movie quality is amazing. nothing about this purchase says store brand value except the price. ps, this is coming from an...

Amazing quality and value

I've been shopping for a blu ray player with built-in Wi-Fi and Netflix for several months. I've read countless reviews on Panasonic, Sony, and LG machines and it's clear that no machine is perfect and purchasing a "brand name" does not guarantee a trouble-free experience. My personal shopping habit for electronics is to look for performance, value, and quality instead of blindly buying a name everyone recognizes. I started reading very good reviews on the Insignia (Best Buy) blu ray p...

Good Deal!

It's funny reading the negative reviews from people complaining about something that's easy or rediculous! First there's the complaints about the remote control. Do these people own t.v.'s that still have the dials on them that change the channels!?!? Then there's the ones complaining about connecting to their wireless network. It's not a problem with the dvd player, it's the person's own network. As long as you know your networks passkey or passcode, you'll be connected within a minute. There's...

Locks up and WiFi doesn't stay connected

I bought this yesterday. I was looking for a Blueray player with built in WiFi to do away with my Roku unit. Although connecting to my router was easy, it would not stay connected even though it showed having full reception. I am taking it back today and replacing wih a LAN connected Sony. If your looking to just play Blueray and regular DVD movies it works well. It has good upconversion and I like that it had optical audio capability. What's great about it: Good upconversion What's not so gre...

Great blu-ray player

Picked up because of the sale price of $89, also picked up the 2 year geek squad warranty. This unit set up perfectly with no problems. Wireless setup found my router signed in netflix right off went perfectly. Tried the blu-ray played on a dvd (don't have any blu-ray discs yet) loaded it perfectly and played with a great picture. On the netflix tried a movie loaded quickly played perfectly. For the sale price of $89 and $10 more for the 2 year warranty how can you go wrong? But even at the regu...

Low Quality

I am perplexed to see that this product has such high ratings. Although some people mention the problems with this player, they still give it a high rating. The biggest problem for me with this player was that the menus were unreadable. The letters are very small. The remote control only works when aligned directly and in front of the sensor, not from any other angle. The connectivity was not great either, I have high speed internet and I still had problems with low connectivity. The bluray play...

Locks Up Dont Buy

DON'T BUY this unit.I bought this unit on Black Friday and got it home to use with excitement. Set up was a breeze and the menus were easy to use. Now the BAD stuff. I noticed with Netflicks it took forever to connect and I had to do the code several times before I got logged in. The Wifi keeps dropping even though I had 3 out of 4 bars. The load time for a disc was HORRBILE. 2-3 minutes just to get to the disc menu. I was watching a movie finally and I used the pause function and came bac...
