Never got this item from Amazon

Any convenience of ordering went right out the window when Amazon chose to send my package by USPS. They (USPS)said i had moved and I had not. Had i known they were sending it USPS I would have put my p.o. box in the address. As we know many vendors will not deliver to PO boxes so this matter NEEDS TO BE CLEAR WHEN PURCHASING WHAT CARRIER IS BEING USED. I work full time and cannot spend a lot of time figuring out WHAT AMAZON IS GOING TO DO WITH MY package. I ordered two similar items from ebay w...

Very useful

I bought this to use to with my Garmin Forerunner 305 and now it's fitted to the bike it works great and I find it really useful. I did, however, find it a bit messy to fit. It comprises of three parts - the sensor, the pedal magnet and the spoke magnet. At first I thought that I was missing one part because the two magnets stuck to each other. On reflection, I suppose it's pretty obvious that this would happen but at the time it took me a little time to realize this. The included ins...

Review for Garmin's speed cadence sensor

I read many reviews on this product that warned me about the battery sent with the unit needed to be replaced. I didn't have that problem. My problem is that I can't use the sensor with my mountain bike (Trek). The sensors that come with the device(3 counting the main unit) do not seem to align properly causing the product to not work.

What's wrong with it?

That was my question when I was trying to get it set up. I thought the battery was dead so I replaced it. The forerunner I was trying to pair it with kept flashing an X across the cadence symbol, so I thought it wasn't working. Finally I gave up and started riding to test the rest of it. Once it started getting a continuous signal the forerunner showed the cadence symbol without the X through it and it displayed the cadence just fine. So far it seems to work great. This may be more of a complain...

Works extremely well.

Unlike the Polar speed/cadence units, the Garmin is made to work from the rear wheel (great if you ride an indoor trainer) and its creative design allows it to catch both speed and cadence from a single unit. Impressive. Just be sure to get a new battery - mine, like others, came shipped with a dead battery.

A must have for you Edge 305

I bought the Edge 305 w/o the cadence sensor thinking I don't need it but I was wrong. Once you realize what the Edge can give you for information and you start to plot everything ( I use SportTracks )you became addicted and you want cadence chart too !!!Furthermore, the sensor allows you to get speed even when there's no GPS signal ( tunnel, cities, etc). A fact that overlooked.Easy to install and the red/green light tells you if the unit senses the magnets which have to...

Great product comes with dead battery

Product works well and was easy to link to my Forerunner 305 once I replaced it's dead battery. Garmin needs to figure that one out.

Garmin Finally Got It Right

I purchased this item and, based on the reviews I had read, I also purchased a battery for it because Customers had complained that the Garmins were being shipped with batteries that did not contain a charge anymore. However, to my surprise, the battery worked fin and I really enjoy having the extra cadence information when I download my workout histories. Works great with my ForeRunner 305. I highly recommend it.

Speed sensor not working

The Garmin 305 works great, but I can't get the speed sensor to work without GPS. I've had the unit for about a week. I checked the magnet with my old Cateye. I will have to contact Garmin for a replacement.
