Save yourself a huge headache and buy somthing else

I was so angry I had to go to an English major to get the correct word for how "Apolectic" I am at the GForce NAS. I have owned this thing for 2 years and have returned it for repair twice. Worked great...for a year.
I just finished contacting their support because my NAS just died after a little over one-year. Totally unacceptable for a backup solution. Config is a pain in the bottom, the print server crapped out about 6 months ago (should have been my first warning), then I kept getting File I/O errors from my backup program. Not worth the trouble to purchase

My 1.5tb drive was 6 months after warranty expired. Support has a standard response..."Looks like a hardware failure. If you return it to us we will fix or replace. Poor performance
This review is from: Fantom G-Force Megadisk 1 TB Network Attached Storage Raid (MDN1000) (Electronics) This is not a good network drive. After being installed correctly on our super-fast network, it failed on multiple occasions. The biggest problem was that it would corrupt large files when I tried to save them - thus not only failing to save the file, but losing it altogether. I would not recommend this product.

Fantom Drive has more work to do with software
This review is from: Fantom G-Force Megadisk 2 TB Network Attached Storage (MDN2000) (Electronics) On paper this drive sounds great, but after a little use you find its drawbacks. I wanted a NAS system for my home network and I wanted to setup a FTP server with user access control. This would allow me to keep this small system on 24x7 instead of a whole computer.
Pros:
-It is compact. Just slightly bigger than the two drive casing.
