A definite must have.
Now that I have it, I wouldn't give it up. This works so well. You can control 90% of the headunit functions from this. You cannot control bass and treble, no big deal. You can hook any audio device with a mini headphone jack through this, too. I actually use this to control the stereo more than the stereo itself. Not as durable as I had hoped.
Just bought a replacement for the first one that was part of a kit. Used it for four seasons on a small boat (lots of pounding). It was also facing forward on a part of the boat that was not protected during trailering and was inside a stainless mounting. The constant exposure probably didn't help it, but at the end of four seasons, the display wasn't displaying, only backlighting worked. Took it out and there was some moisture "intrusion" that caused rusting around the display connections on...

This item works well, is very simple to install (3 wire plug-in). Only issue after about 4 hours of use the LED display stopped working. All the buttons still work and light up you just have to look at the stereo face for channel information. I've installed two of these in the last 6 months, one on each boat I have, not just a bum unit, this is the second one with the same problems and YES I do have the stereo model in each boat that is suppose to be compatible.

Marine Remote Control
Very fast delivery and connecting it up was easy. It was a simple plug in and had enough wire and cable to make it to our boat's transom.

Dual MWR30 Wired Marine Remote
The installation was easy and it came with more than enough wire to reach the stereo from my helm. The control is bright and easy to use. The marine weather option is great so I don't have to switch my marine radio off a vital frequency.

Best thing since sliced bread
THis remote functions well is durable and well constructed. They though of almost everything. Only thing I wish it had was a way to scroll the presets. Otherwise it plays tunes and you can run an ipod/mp 3 through it or the head unit. Great buy
