Great Receiver - Update the Firmware Asap!

Really good all round receiver for a low price. I bought it to accompany my Elac B6 bookshelf speakers and my new 4K TV. I also bought the Roku 4 to use with the receiver and my 4K TV but had issues at first. There was no image coming out of the Roku onto the TV when I had the Roku plugged into one of the 3 HDCP 2.2 inputs on the receiver. When I plugged it into a Non-HDCP 2.2 HDMI input the picture from the Roku showed up (but not in 4K resolution). After some research I figured I would try upd...

Denon AVR-S510BT Receiver

This receiver is a very basic audio/video receiver that has the ability to handle 4K video signals. I currently do not have any 4K equipment so I cannot comment on this function. My unit did not come with a full manual, only a quick start guide. I have downloaded the manual from the Denon website. The auto set up with the included mic does a good job of setting speaker levels. Each level can be manually adjusted individually as required. I would not recommend this unit for a large, complex home ...

Denon avr-s510bt

This unit replaced a 13 year old Onkyo. I chose it because of the overall reputation of Denon and the receiver providing the biggest bang for the buck. I wanted a receiver that had the latest connections (HDMI), bluetooth, USB port, and the ability to customize the sound quality to meet my needs. This receiver had all of that and more. All peripherals (blu-ray, cable/stb and tv) I needed were HDMI, simplifying the install for a neat finish. All back connectors (HDMI, RCA and speakers) were ...

simple quality

Set up was a breeze, i bought to replace old onkyo without hdmi, denon was only modest price receiver with multiple hdmi with hdcp 2.2 for 4k video so ill be good in a year or 3 when i get a 4k tv and blu ray. sound quality is excellent, spring clips are lacking a bit, tough to get 12 gauge speaker wire in them.

Would have given 5 stars if it worked

Great receiver, very clean sound at high volumes, excellent picture quality. Would have given this product 5 stars as the sound quality is superior to the yamaha receiver I replaced...if it worked. Wonderful for 3 or so months, and then the power circuit failed and I'm stuck waiting on customer service to do something. Will avoid denon going forward as this is a known issue with this product.

Excellent Amp for my surround sound with subwoofer and 55"TV

I mainly use the AVR-S510BT for amplification for FIOS TV, Blu-Ray DVD player, CD player using two JBL tower 2-way right & left front speakers, Bose center and right & left rear speakers with a Klipsch powered subwoofer. Sounds better than my old Denon that finally went dead after 15 years.Sound has really low distortion rate with 0.08% THD across the entire spectrum of 20hz-20khz.

All the terrible reviews were true.

This is my 2nd Denon receiver. I bought it to replace a Denon that was malfunctioning yet was less than 5 years old. The only reason I stuck with Denon at the time was ease. I'd just unplug everything from one receiver & plug it all into the new one. They're very similar & you'd figure it would be that easy. Within 2 weeks the new Denon was dropping the handshake with every device plugged into it. To get my 3D movies to work I had to turn the receiver off, this is the only way the "pass-through...
