Great entry level AV receiver

I've owned Denon receivers for years, and like everything about them. Clean sound, nice design, all the major features you need. I decided to go with the entry level model this time because it has plenty of power, 75 watts per channel, and most importantly, plenty of HDMI inputs. I've owned this unit for a month and it was easy to install, and substantially reduced the number of wires running to and from the receiver, because now my TV, Blu-ray, and Roku players are all connected via HDMI. Wha...

Awesome Reciever

I bought this receiver about a week ago and I haven't had any problem with it whatsoever. The sound is clear and powerful and the standby passthrough feature it has is a nice feature when you don't want to crank the volume and just want to watch something quietly. If you are in this price range this is the best receiver you can get hands down.

Outstanding value!!

This thing rivals my Pioneer 1019 (which I paid $550). I set this up at my girlfiends house with two Polk bookshelfs as the mains and a Polk front fire sub and the sound quaility is amazing. No complaints hear, set up was fairly painless. Used the Odyess (sp) mic and within about twenty minutes we were watching tv and listening to music via the PS3. I would definaltey buy this reciever agiain. Very good vaue for the money. This reciever is easier to use than my Pioneer. I would say that if you'r...

After having an unfortunate incident with a lightning strike at my home, my Denon AVR-1908 suffered irreparable damage. Within a few weeks my insurance company sent the check to replace it and the hunt for a new receiver was on.Having owned a Denon, I was very familiar with the quality and outstanding sound their receivers can produce - but made the decision to research other brands such as Onkyo, Yamaha, Pioneer and of course the new line of Denon AV receivers. I have a 7.1 surround sound Hom...

I wanted a receiver that I could rely on for the next decade. After reading reviews of occasional failures of receivers (Onkyo, Sony, et cetera) that otherwise perform well, I bought this Denon receiver. Note that I could not find a review that mentioned a failure of a Denon product. This receiver sounds great, and works seamlessly with my TV and Blu-Ray player. I love its CEC functionality - when I'm done watching a Blu-Ray through the Denon receiver, I merely power down the TV, and the Denon re...

When I found this bad boy for under $300 I had to jump on it. I have this paired with a Polk RM510 which is basically a rm85 plus a psw110 sub. So far I have been more that satisfied with my Denon. Let me highlight some nice featuresPros:Good looking with nice gloss finishsetup with the mic made the sound from my setup significantly betterWorked right out of the box hooked to my cable box, pc, and xbox!Top of the unit is always cool in fact I never feel any heat! (this is normally a good indicat...

When I switched from my old Harman Kardon AVR235 (no HDMI) to the Denon AVR1611, I actually was a little disappointed at first, because it felt like the audio lacked some "oomph," kind of like I lost some of the low frequency (bass) sound. But it turns out that's actually what the Audyssey Multi EQ settings intended on doing after I read about it's features (and turned up the sub woofer about 4 db via the on-screen menu after mic set-up was completed, for my personal taste). With the Denon recei...

ONLY 399?

first and foremost - great value. featured in MHT. If you aren't hooking up tons of sources, then this is a great choice for a new receiver. I won't bore you with explaining all of the features you have already read, but the fact is - it's only 399 to get blu ray ready audio, 3D ready video, and the sound quality you would expect from MHT. I live in an appartment - I own the Def Tech SM350s as my fronts, and the CLR2300 as my center. that's all of my speakers for now, but it sounds amazing. I re...

Great Product with Great Price!

I was in the market for a home theatre system for my living room so I went to Best Buy to look for one. After talking to a sales associate, I decided that I was going to piece together a system instead of buying the complete package system. He showed me the Denon receiver and I could not believe how well the system sounded. For the price of $400, this was a great deal. The receiver is 7.1 ready but can stay 5.1 and use the last 2 channels for a separate zone with a separate input. Excellent buy ...
