Awesome receiver

This receiver is a dream. Not only does it have power to drive my 5.1 Paradigm Signature speakers, but the customization and calibration is awesome. This replaces an AVR-3805, but wanted 3D pass-through and HDMI connections for the new TV. It is nice to reconfigure connections and rename source inputs. Currently have a Denon DBP1611UD, DirecTV HD receiver, PS3, PS2, Wii, and AppleTV connected and source input labeled appropriately. This even makes it easier for my wife to set the receiver t...

Simply awesome

I have had the AVR 4311CI for > 6 months replacing a Pioneer Elite SC-27. First thing I liked so much better than in the Pioneer was the Setup GUI which I found a lot more intuitive. I never needed to consult with the manual to get this receiver set up properly and sound great. I have a 7.1 set up with 6-ohm Canton speakers, and it sounds simply awesome. Important to me was the receiver's playback capability of Super Audio CDs (SACD) in its native DSD mode over HDMI, which the Denon does fabu...

Functionality lost since 4308

I owned a Denon AVR-4308ci which got damaged by lightening. I purchased the Denon 4311ci as a replacement. Although the 4311 has a bit more power even though 4311 and 4308 are both rated at 140W, the 4311 LOST zone assignment functionality that the 4308 had. With the 4308, I could run 3 powered zones simultaneously with different sources. The 4311 will only allow 2 powered zones at the same time. You have to buy aseparate amplifier to power a 3rd zone. So, don't think that the 4311 will sim...

Your only choice for a 11.2 DSX Audyessy XT32 reciever.

It's pretty simple. If you want Audyessy MultiEQ XT32 and their 11.2 DSX, this is the only thing on the planet that has it.Fortunatly, it's a very high-quality device, made in Japan. Denon's lower end models are made in China. There is a difference. Besides the big Audyessy features, there are some other nice things about this beast. The amplifier section is very high quality. A recent bench test found it puts out over 170w per channel in stereo and 120w with 5 channels driven...

Awesome AVR Denon Receiver 4311

Awesome receiver, remote control has been updated and is the best Denon remote control in my opinion. Just incredible. Receiver is awesome with Pandora, High Definition Radio just to name a few features. The clarity, sound, power is what you expect when you pay a premium price. Just a solid receiver sure to last till the next major electronic gadget comes out into the market. As for the 3D, yes it's ready and capable. But in my case, 3D isn't for me. I just get dizzy looking 3D. But this is ...

I'm Enjoying My Stereo, Again

This "chock-full-of-features" receiver has been more than adequately commented on by the other reviewers, but I am going to address one of the features that particularly interested me. I am a retired, professional musician, and sound is very important to me. I was having issues with the acoustics of my room that my Sony receiver could not resolve. In desperation, I purchased the Denon after researching Audyssey and how successful it was in its application. I narrowed my choice down to the Denon ...

Excellent Replacement for a Rotel

The Denon replaced a Rotel RSX-1067. I was a bit cautious in this decision as I have been fairly loyal to the Rotel brand. However, given the features, capabilities and, power of the Denon I decided to tryout the AVR. Needless to say this receiver has definitely proven itself more that worthy upgrade in the last three weeks since installation.'Audyssey MultEQ is a an outstanding audio room setup feature...Anyone considering an upgrade this receiver should be on the short list for ...

This isn't your daddy's am/fm radio . . .

I very recently purchased this AVR & my previous receiver (Yamaha RX-V2095) was considerably less complicated than this creature . . . so, I'm still familiarizing myself with all it's features. That being said, there are a couple things I can comment on at this time are:PROS:1) setup was fairly straight forward (if you're comfortable around electronics) because I'm not a GEEK or Audiophile . . . but I can read the manual & use Youtube; so, set up was pretty straight forward.

Great Sound, poor user interface

History, I was using an old Kenwood for the last 15 years, Dolby pro Logic, it was running with 120 watts per channel. I know wattage isn't everything, but for us non audio experts its a good point of reference. I will do my best to be short, there is a lot to say about a system like this. The is a wonderful sounding system and is certainly over kill for almost everyone, and if not, your probably hooking up external amps to it and making it over kill. It has more wattage then what I...

POWERFUL SOUND

This AVR is truly wonderful. It pumps out a lot of sound is network connected. The video processing is done by Anchor Bay Technologies and is superb. I have it mated to Klipsch THX certified 7800's, 7502, and a 120 subwoofer. It does the job! BTW this will be software upgraded to use Apple's AirPlay technology too!!! It can also be controlled via an app on the iPhone.
